The brand new TV show featured on Cable TV channel TLC tries to depict Muslims as "ordinary patriotic" Americans but fails to deliver in its very first episode by featuring a radical Shia Imam Husham Al- Husainy. In the first episode the Imam is featured marrying a male convert to Islam to a secular Muslim women. The Imam was exposed on the Sean Hannity Show back in February 2007. Keith Davies remembers listening to the actual interview live in which it was obvious the Imam supports Hezbollah a terror entity listed by the State Department. The Imam hates the the USA and Israel.

You can hear in the interview what a nut job the Imam is and his gymnastics and crazy attacks in order to avoid answering simple questions.

The main stream media continues to propagate the illusion of a moderate Islam and moderate Muslims. The only moderate Muslims that can exist and based on the way the show is presented are the Muslims who act in a very secular way and the Muslims who follow the faith closely are a major problem when it both comes to sympathizing with terror or actually supporting it. Even the "secular" Muslims still have tribal instinct to side with the tribe rather than side with righteousness.

Here is a news report showing Muslims praising Col. Qadafi in Uganda and the vast mosque which Qadafi paid for. Now we are sending troops to help Uganda. Our foreign policy is about as about as good as our Green Industry policy, a total fraud. Maybe we should call the President's policy on the Middle East and the Islam problem "Green" - quite appropriate as the symbol of Islam is green just look at the many flags of the Islamic countries. Green also means inexperience but in our opinion President Obama knows exactly what he is doing when it comes to doing the Islamists bidding.

Attorney General Eric Holder obviously doesn't care that two American agents have been shot dead with guns Holder ordered to be placed in the hands of Mexican drug gangs. But 35 members of Congress care a lot - that's how many of them have now called for the AG's resignation.

But this line from the bottom of the article says what those people are up against. No Democrats have called for Holder’s resignation yet.
That silence is reprehensible. It's bad enough keeping your mouth shut when the AG lets thugs get away with terrorizing Philadelphia voters simply because the thugs are black - but letting Holder off the hook for two deaths (border agent Brian Terry and ATF undercover agent Jaime Zapata) is going too far. Obviously, the Dems are counting on the public's ignorance of this case - a condition made possible by the media's flat refusal to publicize it. It's had an effect. When I had lunch last week with two friends and asked them what they thought of Fast and Furious, both instantly replied that they weren't into Vin Diesel movies.

But it's a dangerous move to count on that ignorance lasting forever. It's one thing to turn away from racist thugs in Philadelphia - it's another thing entirely to ignore two Americans lying dead in a pool of blood, both killed by guns Holder ordered to be placed in the hands of their murderers. No, Fast and Furious is a scandal that is not going away. And the longer it lingers, the worse it gets. When the public finally does become aware of it, their anger will be all the more furious because of the subterfuge surrounding it. At that point, the Community Organizer will realize his AG has become a dangerous piece of baggage ticking ominously in the hold of the President's campaign bus.

Given that President Obama hopes to accept his Party's re-nomination next September in Charlotte, N.C., I'd calculate that next June will be the time period when his "good friend Holder" joins granny under the wheels.

Muslim drivers suspended over praying time

The rental car company has suspended 34 drivers in Seattle, Wash., for praying on the job without clocking out.

More than 30 Seattle-area Hertz shuttle drivers are without work in a clash over Muslim prayer, the Seattle Times reported Friday.

Hertz has "suspended indefinitely" 33 drivers — all of them observant Muslims who work out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Hertz contends the drivers are taking prayer breaks without clocking out first.

According to the Seattle Times:
While the drivers were allowed two, 10-minute breaks during their work shifts during which they could pray, Teamsters officials said managers had agreed in negotiations that workers would not have to clock out and in, though the contact itself does not address the matter.

And the workers and their union said Hertz had previously not required that workers clock out for prayer. The union said it has filed an unfair-labor-practices complaint with the National Labor Relations Board against Hertz for failing to notify the union in advance of what it called a policy change.

But Hertz said the rules aren't new; that it had been trying for some time to enforce the terms of an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission settlement it reached with the workers two years ago that required them to clock out.

A Hertz spokesman said the workers had been repeatedly told they needed to clock out and that the suspended workers had not complied.

The suspended drivers are members of Teamsters Local 117, which is attempting to get the workers back in their shuttle vans.

“The company clearly is violating the intent of the contract and the actual language of the contract,” said Tracey A. Thompson, secretary-treasurer of Local 117. “This is like having workers clock in and out for smoke breaks or bathroom breaks.”

Thompson, who was at the negotiating table in the last round of contact talks, said that this issue was discussed at length by both sides and they had a clear understanding – and contract language – that protected the workers from punishment for prayer breaks.

Rich Broome, a spokesman for Hertz, told msnbc.com that Muslim drivers who clocked out to pray were not suspended and that the company was trying to be fair to all workers.

In the meantime, the suspended workers have not been told when – or if – they will be able to return to their jobs.

A central element of radical Islam is an ideologically-based supremacist mindset that demands that societies accommodate them, rather than their assimilating into their host societies. This also reflects sharia law’s requirement that human laws must always be subordinate to Islamic law.

1. ISLAM, QURAN, HADITHS AND SUNNA
Islam is a religious, political and judicial system initiated in the VIIth century by
Muhammad, who claims to be the last prophet, and therefore THE prophet to whom
Allah transmitted his precepts through the angel Gabriel. These precepts are compiled
in the Quran. The Quran, fixed, unchangeable, that cannot be interpreted, comprises
of 114 chapters called suras, and each sura is composed of phrases called verses. The
suras and verses have been numbered in a standard way since 1923. For instance, [4:34] means verse 34 in sura 4. It should be noted that Muhammad heard the words of the angel Gabriel during mystical episodes! “Witnesses say that he (Muhammad) had seizures during which he drooled and roared like a young camel” (Mizanu’l Haqq, p. 345 can be checked at http://answeringIslam.org/Books/Pfander/Balance/p344.htm). In addition to their
holy book, muslims also hold Muhammad as an example, drawing inspiration from
his words and deeds, recounted between the VIIIth and Xth centuries by the traditionists including Bukhari, Muslim, Daoud and others, in the hadiths (the sayings), which compose the Sunna (tradition). Our purpose is to prove, based on the hadiths and a Quran widely accepted by English-speaking-muslims, the Abdullah Yusuf Ali's quran,that islam was violent from its origin, that it is inegalitarian and discriminatory towards women, non muslims, homosexuals, etc., and that in fact, islam rejects and fights everything outside itself. In fact, when we look for a “reference” Quran, we are always offered a trio : Abdullah Yusuf Ali, Marmaduke Mohammad Pickthall, a British convert, and M. H. Shakir. But there is a controversy about Shakir, so we will only consider the two others you can read on this site http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/. Clicking a verse displays all three translations simultaneously. It’s an ideology that exploits religion with the aim to subdue all the world’s non-muslims, either through persuasion or by the sword. Indeed, in Arabic, islam means submission, and muslim means submissive. Obviously, muslims don’t share this analysis, hence this document that aims to counter them using their own Quran, thus demonstrating that islam is incompatible with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (article 3 : right to life, article 4 :

2. TACTICS AND DIALECTICS (GENERAL OVERVIEW) AGAINST ISLAM
a) A fundamental point. Never be baffled if a muslim lies, actively or by omission,
or conceals or falsifies, because this is prescribed by the Quran. Anything goes when
the goal is to spread islam. Taqya (dissimulation) is a duty for believers in an inferiority (= minority) situation. By contrast, as soon as the balance of power has shifted, the muslim can consider aggression :
[Quran 47:35 ] Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be
uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good)
deeds.
b) When confronting a muslim who suggests that islam is a religion of tolerance,
peace and love, by quoting a few violent, misogynist, anti-christian or anti-jewish
suras, when he runs out of arguments he will eventually say that “in order to understand the Quran, one has to read it in Arabic”. The answer is simple: if that was the case, then an English-speaking convert, unless he read Arabic, which has to be extremely rare, would be a person who converts to a religion while being unable to grasp a single word from its holy book! This is not tenable, therefore the muslim has to implicitly admit that some translations into English that are acceptable to a
Mahometan do exist, if only the one from Abdullah Yusuf Ali, which can be checked
at http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran. All that is left then is to contradict him using the suras from “his” Quran.
c) It is also necessary to refute the recurring argument, used by muslims who, in
many cases, have not read the Quran, as well as by English ignoramuses who don’t
know anything about islamology, that islam is a religion like any other, and that muslims therefore have the same rights as the followers of other religions. This assertion must be countered by stating that the Quran features numerous verses that incite murder (see paragraph 4 for examples), or by reading the hadiths where the messenger of Allah, Muhammad himself, instigates numerous murders. Islam cannot, therefore,be considered as being like any other religion.
d) With regards to the long list of quranic verses that clearly call for the murder of unbelievers, muslims always claim that they were only reacting, defending themselves against attacks from “nasty” polytheists. One can already recognize, back in those times, the muslims’ “victim posturing”. So we should believe that the
arab/muslim people conquered immense territories, in the name of Allah, only by
defending themselves, because other peoples were attacking them. It’s enough to
read the letters the warlord Muhammad sent to various leaders or kings, to “invite”
them to embrace islam, to become convinced of his arrogance and aggressivity: to
the Arab tribal leaders, the kings of Byzantium, of Persia, of Abyssinia, etc. Here is the “invitation” letter to the people of Oman: “Peace be upon him who follows the
straight path! I call you to islam. Accept my call, and you will be safe. I am the
messenger from Allah sent to humanity, and the annoucement will be made to the
unbelievers. If, then, you identify with islam, I shall grant power upon you. But if
you refuse to accept islam, your power shall disappear, my horses will camp out on
the extent of your territory and we shall reign in your kingdom. Signed:
“Muhammad, messenger of Allah”.
e) It should also be noted that while 2 verses may contradict each other, Allah, all
knowing and infallible as he is, has planned for everything. For such cases, he has
developed the doctrine of abrogator verses (nasikh) and abrogated verses (mansukh),
which states that the most recent verse cancels the oldest one, and therefore that a
Medina, or post-Hegira verse, can, in case of a contradiction, cancel a Mecca or pre-
Hegira verse. The Hegira is the period when Muhammad was chased from Mecca
and took refuge in Medina. To demonstrate the aforementioned, one can quote the
two verses:
[Quran 2:106] None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but
We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power
over all things?
[Quran 16:101] When We substitute one revelation for another,- and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, "Thou art but a forger": but most of them understand not.
To know if a verse is pre-Hegira or post-Hegira go to http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran.
Every sura is indicated as revealed at Mecca or Medina.
Therefore, do not be baffled when a follower of Allah quotes a tolerant verse,
because it is probably abrogated and rendered obsolete by a Medina verse.
Otherwise you could always counter it with numerous violent verses. If islam was
peaceful there would not be a single violent verse un the Quran… yet it contains
dozens of instances of words such as “kill”, “fight” or “slay”.
f) When the apologists of islam struggle to conceal the warlike and intolerant nature
of the Quran, they often try to “dilute” reality, pretending that islam is open to numerous “interpretations”. The violence of islamic societies and muslim terrorists would stem from a “mistaken interpretation”. By saying this, they conceal the fact that the Quran itself, (seconded by some hadiths), condemns interpretation (it should be noted that many Western politicians also take part in this pathetic farce).
[Quran 3 :7] He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or
fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others
are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in
knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none
will grasp the Message except men of understanding.

3. CHOOSING A QURAN
We have already highlighted the benefit, to us, of choosing an English language Quran
approved by muslims themselves. It is, therefore, the Abdullah Yusuf Ali 's Quran, to the exclusion of any other, that will serve as a reference from here on. Important notice about the Quran: the Quran (“recitation” in Arabic) is not so much a text as it is the Arabic recitation of that text. For non Arabic-speakers, it is therefore a long succession of sounds, learned by rote in “quranic schools” (madrassa, where muslims are taught to hate the West). It therefore is a genuine example of brainwashing, that a muslim is often subjected to from as young as the age of 4!

4. ANGLES OF ATTACK AGAINST ISLAM
In the following text, when the words “the” (plural) or “they” are not qualified they
are used to designate all those who are not submissive to Allah: Jews, Christians,
heretics, infidels, associators, polytheists and unbelievers.
a) Calls for murder in the Quran
[Quran 2:191] And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from
where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are slaughter; but fight
them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight
you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.
[Quran 4:89] They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on
the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in
the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them
and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers
from their ranks.
[Quran 5:33] The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His
Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution,
or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides,
or exile from the land : that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment
is theirs in the Hereafter.
[Quran 8:12] Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am
with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the
Unbelievers. Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.
[Quran 8:17] It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah: when thou threwest (a
handful of dust), it was not thy act, but Allah's: in order that He might test the
Believers by a gracious trial from Himself: for Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth
(all things). In other words it's a pre-emptive absolution for a murderer of an
infidel in the name of Allah.
[Quran 9:5] But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the
Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for
them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers
and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving,
Most Merciful.
[Quran 17:33] Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause.
And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand
qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for
he is helped (by the Law). Therefore, according to the Quran, there are perfectly
valid, legally sound reasons to kill.
[Quran 33:61] They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they
shall be seized and slain (without mercy).
[Quran 47:4] Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their
necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on
them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays
down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He
could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you
fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of
Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.
b) Hate against the Jews, Christians and Infidels
[Quran 5:51] O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your
friends and protectors :They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he
amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not
a people unjust.
[Quran 9:30] The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the
son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the
unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them : how they are deluded
away from the Truth!
[Quran 5:14] From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant,
but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged
them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of
judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.
Among the hadiths, one can easily find a collection of anti-jewish and anti-christian
statements, sometimes extremely violent, such as :
The Prophet said, "A group of Israelites were lost. Nobody knows what they did.
But I do not see them except that they were cursed and changed into rats"
(Narrated Abu Huraira, Muslim XLII 7135 et Bukhari LIV 524).
c) Three fundamental inequalities in islam
The muslim is superior to the non-muslim
[Quran 3:110] Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is
right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the
Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but
most of them are perverted transgressors.
Men are superior to women
[Quran 4:34] Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah
has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them
from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and
guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those
women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first),
(Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return
to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most
High, great (above you all). In the [Quran 4:34] there is no arabic word for
"lightly" it's a personal add from the author Yusuf Ali and an example of taqya.
The master is superior to the slave
Islam has not yet abolished slavery, which is still practised in Saudi Arabia and Sudan, where the black slave trade is still current, as per the heart wrenching testimony of a black christian Sudanese man, Simon Deng, reduced to slavery by the Arabic islamist regime in Khartoum : (http://www.iheu.org/node/1539). If islam has not abolished slavery (can it?), it’s quite simply because its goal is to establish a world califate where non-muslims would have to choose between conversion, death or, at best,dhimmitude (http://www.dhimmitude.org/archive/by_lecture_10oct2002.htm).
d) Death penalty for whoever leaves islam Ali burnt some people and this news reached Ibn 'Abbas, who said, "Had I been in his place I would not have burnt them, as the Prophet said, 'Don't punish (anybody) with Allah's Punishment.' No doubt, I would have killed them, for the Prophet said, 'If somebody
(a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' (Narrated Ikrima, Bukhari LII 260).
Do you know many religions that call for the death of whoever wants to leave them?

5. MUHAMMAD, THE « BEAUTIFUL MODEL »We cannot conclude without mentioning this odd “prophet” for an odd “religion”. A few personality traits of the man every good muslim is supposed to emulate, found in the hadiths or Quran
Muhammad was a torturer When the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) cut off (the hands and feet of)those who had stolen his camels and he had their eyes put out by fire (heated nails),Allah reprimanded him on that (action), and Allah, the Exalted, revealed: "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is execution or crucifixion. (Narrated Abu Zinad, Dawud XXXVIII 4357).
Muhammad was a murderer Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) stoned (to death) a
person from Banu Aslam, and a Jew and his wife.(Narrated Jabir Abdullah, Muslim XVII 4216).
Muhammad was a pedophile
Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for
two years or so and then he married 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age,
and he consummated that marriage when she was nine years old. (Narrated
Hisham's father, Bukhari LVIII 236).
Muhammad was a looter
Whenever Allah's Apostle intended to lead a Ghazwa, he would use an equivocation
from which one would understand that he was going to a different destination.
(Narrated Ka’b ibn Malik, Bukhari LII 197). In arabic "ghazwa" means looting :

We are therefore obliged to meet their legitimate religious requests: to build mosques, to reserve hours at the pool for Muslims, to serve halal meat in canteens" Actually only 10 to 15% practice and go to the mosque regularly as is the case for Christians and Jews, I think.

Action SITA is what?

TO: The Committee Edinburgh University Student Association.
May I be permitted to say a few words to members of the EUSA? I am an Edinburgh graduate (MA 1975) who studied Persian, Arabic and Islamic History in Buccleuch Place under William Montgomery Watt and Laurence Elwell Sutton, two of Britain's great Middle East experts in their day.
I later went on to do a PhD at Cambridge and to teach Arabic and Islamic Studies at Newcastle University. Naturally, I am the author of several books and hundreds of articles in this field. I say all that to show that I am well informed in Middle Eastern affairs and that, for that reason, I am shocked and disheartened by the EUSA motion and vote.

I am shocked for a simple reason: there is not and has never been a system of apartheid in Israel. That is not my opinion, that is fact that can be tested against reality by any Edinburgh student, should he or she choose to visit Israel to see for themselves. Let me spell this out, since I have the impression that those members of EUSA who voted for this motion are absolutely clueless in matters concerning Israel, and that they are, in all likelihood, the victims of extremely biased propaganda coming from the anti-Israel lobby.

Being anti-Israel is not in itself objectionable. But I'm not talking about ordinary criticism of Israel. I'm speaking of a hatred that permits itself no boundaries in the lies and myths it pours out. Thus, Israel is repeatedly referred to as a "Nazi" state. In what sense is this true, even as a metaphor? Where are the Israeli concentration camps? The einzatsgruppen? The SS? The Nuremberg Laws? The Final Solution? None of these things nor anything remotely resembling them exists in Israel, precisely because the Jews, more than anyone on earth, understand what Nazism stood for.

It is claimed that there has been an Israeli Holocaust in Gaza (or elsewhere). Where? When? No honest historian would treat that claim with anything but the contempt it deserves. But calling Jews Nazis and saying they have committed a Holocaust is as basic a way to subvert historical fact as anything I can think of.

Likewise apartheid. For apartheid to exist, there would have to be a situation that closely resembled how things were in South Africa under the apartheid regime. Unfortunately for those who believe this, a weekend in any part of Israel would be enough to show how ridiculous the claim is. That a body of university students actually fell for this and voted on it is a sad comment on the state of modern education.

The most obvious focus for apartheid would be the country's 20% Arab population. Under Israeli law, Arab Israelis have exactly the same rights as Jews or anyone else; Muslims have the same rights as Jews or Christians; Baha'is, severely persecuted in Iran, flourish in Israel, where they have their world center; Ahmadi Muslims, severely persecuted in Pakistan and elsewhere, are kept safe by Israel; the holy places of all religions are protected under a specific Israeli law. Arabs form 20% of the university population (an exact echo of their percentage in the general population).

In Iran, the Bahai's (the largest religious minority) are forbidden to study in any university or to run their own universities: why aren't your members boycotting Iran? Arabs in Israel can go anywhere they want, unlike blacks in apartheid South Africa. They use public transport, they eat in restaurants, they go to swimming pools, they use libraries, they go to cinemas alongside Jews - something no blacks were able to do in South Africa.

Israeli hospitals not only treat Jews and Arabs, they also treat Palestinians from Gaza or the West Bank. On the same wards, in the same operating theatres.

In Israel, women have the same rights as men: there is no gender apartheid. Gay men and women face no restrictions, and Palestinian gays often escape into Israel, knowing they may be killed at home.

It seems bizarre to me that LGBT groups call for a boycott of Israel and say nothing about countries like Iran, where gay men are hanged or stoned to death. That illustrates a mindset that beggars belief.

Intelligent students thinking it's better to be silent about regimes that kill gay people, but good to condemn the only country in the Middle East that rescues and protects gay people. Is that supposed to be a sick joke?

University is supposed to be about learning to use your brain, to think rationally, to examine evidence, to reach conclusions based on solid evidence, to compare sources, to weigh up one view against one or more others. If the best Edinburgh can now produce are students who have no idea how to do any of these things, then the future is bleak.

I do not object to well-documented criticism of Israel. I do object when supposedly intelligent people single the Jewish state out above states that are horrific in their treatment of their populations. We are going through the biggest upheaval in the Middle East since the 7th and 8th centuries, and it's clear that Arabs and Iranians are rebelling against terrifying regimes that fight back by killing their own citizens.

Israeli citizens, Jews and Arabs alike, do not rebel (though they are free to protest). Yet Edinburgh students mount no demonstrations and call for no boycotts against Libya, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Iran. They prefer to make false accusations against one of the world's freest countries, the only country in the Middle East that has taken in Darfur refugees, the only country in the Middle East that gives refuge to gay men and women, the only country in the Middle East that protects the Bahai's.... Need I go on?

The imbalance is perceptible, and it sheds no credit on anyone who voted for this boycott. I ask you to show some common sense. Get information from the Israeli embassy. Ask for some speakers. Listen to more than one side. Do not make your minds up until you have given a fair hearing to both parties. You have a duty to your students, and that is to protect them from one-sided argument.

They are not at university to be propagandized. And they are certainly not there to be tricked into anti-Semitism by punishing one country among all the countries of the world, which happens to be the only Jewish state. If there had been a single Jewish state in the 1930's (which, sadly, there was not), don't you think Adolf Hitler would have decided to boycott it?

Your generation has a duty to ensure that the perennial racism of anti-Semitism never sets down roots among you. Today, however, there are clear signs that it has done so and is putting down more. You have a chance to avert a very great evil, simply by using reason and a sense of fair play. Please tell me that this makes sense. I have given you some of the evidence. It's up to you to find out more.

MP Geert Wilders has been cleared of charges of inciting hatred and discrimination by a court in Amsterdam.

The court ruled that some of Wilders' statements were insulting, shocking and on the edge of legal acceptability, but that they were made in the broad context of a political and social debate on the multi-cultural society.

The chief judge took some 20 minutes to dismiss the charges one by one, speaking in clear, non-legal language. There was applause from the public gallery when he had finished his statement.

The public prosecution department earlier joined Wilders’ legal team in calling for a not-guilty verdict, saying certain statements by the PVV party leader were insulting, but not criminal.

The department was forced to take the case by the high court after anti-racism campaigners protested at its refusal to prosecute Wilders.

The case began on October 4 last year, but collapsed after three weeks when a special legal panel ruled the judges may have shown partiality following a string of legal blunders. New judges were then sworn in and the case was heard again this year.

A seminal, if ominous report [2] released May 17, 2011 by the Center for Security Policy described fifty appellate court cases from 23 states which involve conflicts between Islamic law—Sharia [3]—and American state law. Nothwithstanding the delusive mindslaughter [4] on display across America’s political spectrum which denies Sharia [5] encroachment in the US, the CSP analysis revealed [2] that,

Sharia has been applied or formally recognized in state court decisions, in conflict with the Constitution and state public policy.

But the grim, seemingly inexorable, progressive acceptance of Sharia-based mores in the US—despite this totalitarian [3] religio-political “law” being antithetical to American law—was at least temporarily reversed late last week, in of all places, Dearborn, Michigan. The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled [6] 2:1 on Thursday May 26, 2011 (in GEORGE SAIEG, Plaintiff-Appellant, v. CITY OF DEARBORN; RONALD HADDAD, Dearborn Chief of Police ) that Dearborn, and its police department, violated the free-speech rights of a Christian evangelist by barring him from handing out leaflets at an Arab-American street festival last year. The court’s two judge majority opinion concluded [6],

On the free speech claim, we REVERSE the district court’s grant of summary judgment to the defendants and its denial of summary judgment to the plaintiffs. We thereby invalidate the leafleting restriction within both the inner and outer perimeters of the Festival.1 The restriction on the sidewalks that are directly adjacent to the Festival attractions does not serve a substantial government interest. The City keeps those same sidewalks open for public traffic and permits sidewalk vendors, whose activity is more obstructive to sidewalk traffic flow than pedestrian leafleting is. Moreover, the prohibition of pedestrian leafleting in the outer perimeter is not narrowly tailored to the goal of isolating inner areas from vehicular traffic. The City can be held liable because the Chief of Police, who instituted the leafleting restriction, created official municipal policy.

Elaborating on the issue of Dearborn’s liability for depriving George Saieg, an American Christian pastor of Sudanese descent, of his first amendment rights, the judges opined [6],

The City may be held liable for the restriction of Saieg’s free speech rights that the leafleting restriction caused. A municipality is liable if a constitutional injury results from a policy or custom “made by its lawmakers or by those whose edicts or acts may fairly be said to represent official policy.” Monell v. Dep’t of Soc. Servs., 436 U.S. 658, 694–95 (1978). In this case, the City approved the Festival “subject to . . . the rules and regulations of the Police Department.” R. 47-13 (Ex. M: Council Resolution)…Chief Haddad described the leafleting policy as his department’s policy, subject only to the approval of the city council and the mayor. R. 47-11 (Ex. K: Haddad Dep. at 95–96) (stating that “the police department will supply the standards that must be met,” such as the “prohibition of individuals handing out . . . materials on the public sidewalk”). The police department’s leafleting policy, made with the authority that the City Council delegated to it, fairly represents official City policy. Therefore, Saieg may hold the City liable for violating his First Amendment right to free speech.

Most remarkably, the majority opinion of Justices Moore and Clay included a salient observation [6] revealing how these judges understood the Sharia-based objections to non-Muslim proselytization which motivated Dearborn’s attempt to abrogate Pastor Saeig’s freedom of speech—mainstream Islam’s [7] continued rejection of freedom of conscience:

Saieg also faces a more basic problem with booth-based evangelism: “[t]he penalty of leaving Islam according to Islamic books is death,” which makes Muslims reluctant to approach a booth that is publicly “labeled as . . . Christian.” R. 48 (Ex. A: Saieg Dep. at 75). Saieg believes that evangelism is more effective when he can roam the Festival and speak to Muslims more discreetly.

Roberta Aluffi Beck-Peccoz [8], Associate Professor of Comparative Law at the University of Turin, made this rather understated assessment of contemporary Islamdom’s strict opposition to the proselytization of Muslims by non-Muslims—rooted in the Sharia, and ultimately, the grave offense of “ridda,” or apostasy from Islam, deemed “treasonous” against the Muslim community, and punishable by death [7] under Islamic Law—published [8] in 2010:

Islamic States have always strongly opposed this specific freedom [i.e., freedom of conscience as per the first amendment of the US Bill of Rights, or more specifically article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights], claiming that it contravenes Islamic Law. [Note: It does, and that is why the 57 Muslim nation Organization of the Islamic Conference drafted and ratified the antithetical Cairo Declaration which insists upon having Sharia exert supremacy over all “manmade” law!]…Moreover they express fear that proselytism represents a kind of foreign interference in their internal affairs. Consistently, Islamic States do not favor proselytism; they sometimes tend to restrict it even in its lightest forms, such as the simple expression of one’s intimate beliefs…Proselytism is perceived as a major threat to the coherence and cohesion of the umma [i.e., the global Muslim community]: it can lead to ridda [apostasy from Islam] the paradigm of political treason, or fitna, the temptation, the civil war involving doctyrinal dissensions…

Even in moderate, pseudo-secular Arab Tunisia—prior to the “Jasmine revolution” which may have already empowered [9] the formerly banned Tunisian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood under Rachid Ghannouchi [10]—according to a 2010 US State Department report [11],

It was illegal to proselytize to Muslims as the government viewed such efforts as disturbing the public order.

Neighboring Morocco [12], also deemed “moderate,” aggressively deports Christians who dare proselytize to Muslims. The globally representative Sharia-based penal law (circa1982) of Comoros [13] (the Muslim archipelago island nation in the Indian Ocean, located off the eastern coast of Africa, on the northern end of the Mozambique), for example, defines the “criminal” proselytizer as one who, “…indulges, promotes, or teaches Muslims a religion other than Islam.”

The attempt by Dearborn’s large Muslim population to enforce Sharia-based injunctions against non-Muslim proselytism confirms local attitudes documented via polling data collected in 2003, and reported during 2004. “The Detroit Mosque Study: Muslim Views on Policy and Religion,” was conducted by Ihsan Bagby an Associate Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Kentucky and a fellow at the Institute for Social Policy Understanding—a Muslim organization. Misprision of Treason: Top DOJ Officials Abandon CAIR Terror Financing Prosecutions

It is a felony offense to know or have reason to know that seditious activity is underway and do nothing about it. The term used in the U.S. Code for such a crime is “misprision of treason.” Counterterrorism expert Patrick Poole reveals today that political appointees in the Obama-Holder Justice Department would appear, at a minimum, to be candidates for prosecution for obstruction of justice and perhaps guilty of violating this statute.

In a Pajamas Media article headlined “Did Obama and Holder Scuttle Terror Finance Prosecutions?” (and reprinted below), Poole reports that two Justice Department sources confirm that the decision not to prosecute unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial was taken “at the top” of the department, not by the federal prosecutors in Dallas who had secured convictions of five HLF officials and had planned next to put away their helpmates.

As a result, one of the most prominent and problematic of those listed by the prosecution – the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas front known as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) – has not only been allowed to continue to run its influence operations in Washington and elsewhere across the country. It has been free to enjoy what is, if anything, even greater access to and influence over the Obama administration than it enjoyed during previous presidencies.

A book published late last year by Patrick Poole and eighteen other national security professionals, Shariah: The Threat to America, documents how such access advances the Muslim Brotherhood’s mission in this country of waging a kind of “grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.” As it happens, just yesterday, Chairwoman Sue Myrick (R-NC) convened the first of what she says will be a series of House Intelligence subcommittee hearings aimed at investigating the Brotherhood and its operations, here and abroad.

One of the most chilling passages of Poole’s article is a quote from a DoJ official who, on condition of anonymity, came forward with confirmation of this scandal:

"This is a national security issue. We know that these Muslim leaders and groups are continuing to raise money for Hamas and other terrorist organizations. Ten years ago we shut down the Holy Land Foundation. It was the right thing to do. Then the money started going to KindHearts. We shut them down too. Now the money is going through groups like Islamic Relief and Viva Palestina. Until we act decisively to cut off the financial pipeline to these terrorist groups by putting more of these people in prison, they are going to continue to raise money that will go into the hands of killers. And until Congress starts grilling the people inside DOJ and the FBI who are giving these groups cover, that is not going to change. My biggest fear is that Americans are going to die and it will be the very Muslim leaders we are working with who will be directly or indirectly responsible."

It is high time Congress starts “grilling the people inside DOJ and the FBI who are giving these groups cover.” If the facts warrant impeachment and prosecution on misprision of treason or other grounds, so be it.

During the House Homeland Security hearing last month on the topic of radicalization in the American Muslim community, one exchange between L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca and Rep. Chip Cravaack (R-MN) concerned the relationship between the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department and Hamas terrorist front the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Sheriff Baca told the congressman:
We don’t play around with criminals in my world. If CAIR is an organization that is a quote “criminal organization,” prosecute them. Hold them accountable and bring them to trial.
But according to a high-ranking source within the Department of Justice, who spoke exclusively to Pajamas Media on the condition of anonymity, Sheriff Baca, a long-time supporter of CAIR, was probably already in on the joke.
The joke is that a number of leaders of Islamic organizations (all of whom publicly opposed the King hearings on Muslim radicalization) were about to be indicted on terror finance support charges by the U.S. attorney’s office in Dallas, which had been investigating the case for most of the past decade.
But those indictments were scuttled last year at the direction of top-level political appointees within the Department of Justice (DOJ) — and possibly even the White House.

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this nonsense. So once more, a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009 as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For FY 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009. Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period: (below)

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

There is no way this will be widely publicized, Unless each of us sends it on! This is your chance to make a difference.

Wall Street Journal Sizes up Obama - They've Got Him Figured Out

A "deadly" article regarding Obama, at the Wall Street Journal, which today is the most widely circulated newspaper in America .

"I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he's led a kind of make-believe life in which money was provided and doors were opened because at some point early on somebody or some group (George Soros anybody?) took a look at this tall, good looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House.

In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do you know has written two memoirs before the age of 45? "Dreams of My Father" was published in 1995 when he was only 34 years old. The "Audacity of Hope" followed in 2006. If, indeed, he did write them himself. There are some who think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a "communist with a small 'c'" was the real author.

His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be deemed controversial. He went from a legislator in the Illinois legislature to the Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having Mayor Daley's formidable political machine at his disposal.

He was in the U.S. Senate so briefly that his bid for the presidency was either an act of astonishing self-confidence or part of some greater game plan that had been determined before he first stepped foot in the Capital. How, many must wonder, was he selected to be a 2004 keynote speaker at the Democrat convention that nominated John Kerry when virtually no one had ever even heard of him before?

He outmaneuvered Hillary Clinton in primaries. He took Iowa by storm. A charming young man, an anomaly in the state with a very small black population, he oozed "cool" in a place where agriculture was the antithesis of cool. He dazzled the locals. And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a charisma that hid any real substance.

And then he had the great good fortune of having the Republicans select one of the most inept candidates for the presidency since Bob Dole And then John McCain did something crazy. He picked Sarah Palin, an unknown female governor from the very distant state of Alaska .. It was a ticket that was reminiscent of 1984's Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and they went down to defeat.

The mainstream political media fell in love with him. It was a schoolgirl crush with febrile commentators like Chris Mathews swooning then and now over the man. The venom directed against McCain and, in particular, Palin, was extraordinary.

Now, nearly a full 2 years into his first term, all of those gilded years leading up to the White House have left him unprepared to be President. Left to his own instincts, he has a talent for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. It swiftly became a joke that he could not deliver even the briefest of statements without the ever-present Tele-Prompters.

Far worse, however, is his capacity to want to "wish away" some terrible realities, not the least of which is the Islamist intention to destroy America and enslave the West. Any student of history knows how swiftly Islam initially spread. It knocked on the doors of Europe, having gained a foothold in Spain .

The great crowds that greeted him at home or on his campaign "world tour" were no substitute for having even the slightest grasp of history and the reality of a world filled with really bad people with really bad intentions.

Oddly and perhaps even inevitably, his political experience, a cakewalk, has positioned him to destroy the Democrat Party's hold on power in Congress because in the end it was never about the Party. It was always about his communist ideology, learned at an early age from family, mentors, college professors, and extreme leftist friends and colleagues.

Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police officer who arrested an "obstreperous" Harvard professor-friend, but would warn Americans against "jumping to conclusions" about a mass murderer at Fort Hood who shouted "Allahu Akbar." The absurdity of that was lost on no one. He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber "an isolated extremist" only to have to admit a day or two later that he was part of an al Qaeda plot.

He is a man who could strive to close down our detention facility at Guantanamo even though those released were known to have returned to the battlefield against America . He could even instruct his Attorney General to afford the perpetrator of 9/11 a civil trial when no one else would ever even consider such an obscenity. And he is a man who could wait three days before having anything to say about the perpetrator of yet another terrorist attack on Americans and then have to elaborate on his remarks the following day because his first statement was so lame.

The pattern repeats itself. He either blames any problem on the Bush administration or he naively seeks to wish away the truth.

Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and manufactured this pathetic individual's life.

When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this man has spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. Most other documents, the paper trail we all leave in our wake, have been sequestered from review. He has lived a make-believe life whose true facts remain hidden.

We laugh at the ventriloquist's dummy, but what do you do when the dummy at the teleprompter is President of the United States of America?

One of Broadway’s big hits this season is the musical The Book of Mormon, a creation of the scatological geniuses behind the cartoon South Park. As one would expect, the show is “blasphemous, scurrilous and more foul-mouthed than David Mamet on a blue streak,” as the New York Times put it, satirizing every dimension of Mormonism from its obligatory missionary work to the planet Kolob God supposedly lived on or near. But despite this ridicule, the Times reports, “there have been no pickets or boycotts, no outraged news releases by Mormon defenders and no lawsuits.” In fact, “The Mormon Church itself . . . has signaled to members to turn the other cheek, while quietly preparing to make the best of the publicity.”

Meanwhile, the burning of a Koran on March 20 by a fringe Florida pastor sparked riots in Afghanistan. On Friday, ten foreigners, including two who may have been beheaded, and several Afghans were killed when a mob of thousands, chanting “Death to America” and “Allahu Akbar,” attacked a UN compound in usually placid Mazar-e-Sharif in the north. The next day, nine Afghans died when riots broke out all over Kandahar, the spiritual homeland of the Taliban.

So a highly visible and critically praised Broadway play that will be seen by thousands is met by the insulted church with a shrug, while a solitary act by the leader of an obscure, 50-member, non-denominational congregation triggers lethal violence aimed at the same Western nations that are spending blood and treasure to give Afghans political freedom and liberation from bloody tyrants. What do we make of this contrast?

The obvious point is that such violence on the part of Muslims whenever they feel their religion has been insulted has been common for decades. The first major global outbreak of Muslim violence happened in February 1989 when Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini issued a fatwa — reaffirmed by Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei.

Naturally, Barack wasn’t so gauche as to dip into his own pocket to pay for it. Instead, he got that money from a mysterious fund in the Healthcare package called the “Early Retiree Reinsurance Program”. Did you know about ERRP? Nope, neither did I. But a whole lot of Bama’s buddies sure have because they’ve been siphoning money off it by the handfuls. The ERRP was started last year with a $5 billion kitty with the funds meant to last until 2014. But less than a year later, the fund has already spent half its money and the rest is pouring out so fast that it will all certainly be gone by the end of 2011.

When you first see the fund’s purpose written down on paper, it certainly sounds noble: providing aid to organizations so they can pay for health insurance for their employees who are retiring early. But the kicker is, which organizations? Well, it’s “selected states, companies and labor unions”. And since we can all guess who’s doing the ‘selecting’, it’s no surprise Obama’s friends have such big grins on their faces. The ones with smiles from ear to ear are the United Auto Workers union which got $206,798,086, AT&T who received $140,022,949, and IBM which hauled in $12,989,690. Poor little General Electric ‘only’ received $36,607,818; but before you bring out the hankies for them, you should realize that GE just used a taxpayer loophole (which Obama refused to close) to avoid paying any U.S. taxes last year. Yes, Obama’s buddies are happy and he sure is sporting a big grin himself.

But Congress is furious; or at least those members of it who are Republican. They’re calling it ‘Obama’s slush fund’. Florida Rep. Cliff Stearns (who chairs the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations) tried to nail a government official to find out how the fund decides who gets what and how much, but Stearns only got the run around. He’s particularly incensed that the news organizations got money from the Healthcare package. Stating the obvious, he asked “How can the Washington Post and CBS be impartial on the issue of health care when they received funding under the health care law?” Not surprisingly, the Washington Post “declined to comment”.

Well, the media may be close lipped about all this money but the money itself is loudly answering one question for all us citizens with 20/20 vision. We finally realize why the media has been insisting that a pot-bellied, nasty-faced First Lady who dresses like a blind hooker is called a “fashion icon.”

Again, we are inundated with talking heads berating and demonizing Pastor Terry Jones of Florida. He is the Christian pastor who is among the small number of people in this country, Christian and otherwise, who has the guts to stand up to Islam.
Again, I am nauseated at the vitriol spewed toward Pastor Jones because he shows that he has a spine. This is a comment from Rich Galen, writing for the Townhall.com blog:

“That preacher in Florida who burned a Koran is a _____ (Fill in the Blank). On that, I think we can all agree. [Wrong, we do not all agree.]

''The notion that a guy with a 30-person congregation can hold himself up as – literally – a judge, and some of his massive congregation as jury, to decide on the legitimacy of Islam as a religion would be laughable except we don’t laugh about those things anymore.” (From Townhall.com, April 5, 2011 article, “Terry Jones Is Not the Problem”)

If I ever hear similar vitriol spewed at the military for the destruction of Bibles, then I will be willing to view these Jones haters as worthy of consideration.

I don’t recall any mention from Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, or any others in the so-called conservative contingent at Fox News, or any conservative venues, of that travesty.

This is a report from Reuters (Kabul) regarding the incident (May 5, 2009):

“Bibles in Afghan languages sent to a U.S. soldier at a base in Afghanistan were confiscated and destroyed to ensure that troops did not breach regulations which forbid proselytizing…. The U.S. military has denied its soldiers tried to convert Afghans to Christianity….

'' ‘I can now confirm that the Bibles shown on Al Jazeera’s clip were, in fact, collected by the chaplains and later destroyed.’ ” (Quote from spokeswoman Major Jennifer Willis at Bagram air base, north of Kabul)

And this from CNN.com/Asia, “Military burns unsolicited Bibles sent to Afghanistan” May 22, 2009:

“The decision was made that it was a ‘force protection’ measure to throw them away, because, if they did get out, it could be perceived by Afghans that the U.S. government or the U.S. military was trying to convert Muslims,” Wright told CNN on Tuesday.

''Troops at posts in war zones are required to burn their trash, Wright said.'' (Quote from Lt. Col. Mark Wright)

I emphasize “trash.” The Holy Bible is considered trash and the Holy Koran merits protection. The military, of course, gave an excuse for why the Bibles were destroyed and not returned to America. The primary reason that those Bibles were destroyed is that Muslims are feared and Christians are not. As an American and a Christian, this scenario makes my blood boil.

I heard a comment recently from a Muslim on a radio talk show explaining why the Koran deserves reverence and the Bible doesn’t. His words: the Koran is “holy”; the Bible is not. Interestingly, every Bible in my house is titled “Holy Bible.” Further, the Koran was “written by Allah, himself.” The Bible was “written by men.” He also offered that even Christians say the Bible was written by men.

I expect such ignorance of Christianity from a Muslim, but I bristle that I haven’t heard any counter to this ignorance in the national media from Christian leaders. The Bible was indeed written by men, but it was inspired by God. What men would have been inclined to write the story of human existence the way the Bible does? Think about it, what human would pen such a candid, condemning epic, showing mankind to be the bumbling idiots that we are? In their infinite hubris, men would be more inclined to whitewash all of mankind’s inherent flaws.

Whether or not anybody believes the Bible as I and the many unsung, silent Christians out there do is irrelevant. My point is that Muslims, thanks to the savagery of many of Islam’s adherents, have gripped the people of this nation by the proverbial balls and they are squeezing. I can hear the high, painful, effeminate wail of frightened leaders.

I will not listen to any crap coming from General Petraeus or any other military big-wig about the hateful behavior of Pastor Jones. Nor will I listen to Sean Hannity or other so-called Christian conservatives until I hear an equal outcry about the despicable behavior of the military’s destruction of Holy Bibles and deeming them “trash.”

This has occurred on several other occasions such as the publishing of cartoons of prophet Mohamed by a Danish newspaper, the comments of one of the participants in a beauty queen competition about prophet Mohamed in Nigeria November 21, 2002, and rumors that US military persons have insulted the Quran.

Preventing Islamist violent reaction in the future cannot simply occur by preventing people from insulting Islam. This approach can be Un-constitutional and is practically impossible.
The barbaric reaction to the Quran burning demonstrates the existence of several factors that may have contributed to such unjustifiable and unacceptable atrocities.

These factors include:1- Tolerating - in several parts of the Muslim world the use of violence, when it empowers religious values, gives justification and prepares some Muslims psychologically to use violence or resort to its use to express their religious views and opinions.

2- Undervaluing the life of Non-Muslims- traditional mainstream Sharia Law books teach that the monetary compensation for killing a Non-Muslim is half of that of a Muslim. This is an important root cause for disrespecting human life and justifying attacking and killing Non-Muslims.

3- Failure to use Islamic Education to empower certain Quranic values that can prevent such violent reaction. These include "Not punishing someone for the mistakes of others" {Quran 35:18} and "respecting human life" {Quran 5:32}.

4- Individual Thinking- There is a failure of the educational systems and Media to encourage individual thinking instead of the mob or "Umma" mentality. The latter way of thinking suppresses individual thinking in favor of the thinking of the group around him. This makes that person more vulnerable to participate in such violent acts.

5- Failure of legal systems to make the Mullahs who incite hatred and violence responsible for the outcome of their teaching. The violent response against the UN personnel occurred after Friday prayer. It is vital to know what has been said exactly in the ceremony that could have led to such brutal demonstrations.

6- Failure of the Islamic scholars to denounce the terrorists (NOT terrorism) in strong words that are powerful enough to deter Muslims from participating in acts of violence. Using expressions to describe these acts as being "Un-Islamic", or "No religion will justify such acts" are too weak to deter Muslims who are driven by religious zeal to participate in such violent acts.

Prevention of similar barbaric responses in the future MUST be holistic and Multi-Dimensional.

Suggested steps to prevent similar violent reaction in the future include:
1- Islamic Religious scholars MUST issue a Fatwa, calling those Muslims who contributed to the violent attacks that result in killing "Apostates"-if they do not repent. Unfortunately, such expressions are needed to decrease participation of Muslims in such violent acts in the future.

2- Islamic teaching MUST give more emphasis on the Quranic values that can prevent generalization and show respect for Human life. For example; the Quran clearly states that it is unacceptable to punish a person for the actions of another one {Quran 35:18} and that "killing an innocent human soul is equal to killing all humanity" {Quran 5:32}.
The above values-if taught properly-could have prevented the attack on and the killing of the innocent UN personnel who have no relation, at all, to the act of burning the Quran.

3- Encouraging individual thinking instead of Mob or 'Umma' mentality in the Muslim world can be achieved via proper educational tactics. These tactics must modify the thinking process of individuals and can be assisted by certain Quranic verses that establish the meaning that each individual will be judged based upon his personal deeds and actions {Quran 19:95: "And everyone will come to the Lord singly on the day of judgment"}.

4- Negative reinforcement psychological tactics MUST be used to decrease the possibility of similar barbaric attacks in the future. These tactics include clarifying to radical Muslims that such an attack on the UN is likely to create more hatred to Islam and thus can cause more Qurans to be burned-rather than the other way around. The Muslim scholars need to explain this to the Muslim world and put the sin of burning Qurans-that may happen in the future-on the shoulders of Muslims who conduct these violent acts.

Feeling the individual responsibility for burning more Qurans as a result of the violent acts is an important deterrent factor that can prevent religiously motivated Muslims from participating in similar violent atrocities. The Quranic verse {Quran 6:108 "Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest they out of spite revile Allah in their ignorance"} can be used as a model to teach Muslims that merely insulting others-let alone killing them-is a major sin as these acts can bring more insults to the religion.

Finally, winning the war against Radical Islam cannot only occur at the Military front. Furthermore, it is practically impossible to stop criticism of Islam. The prevention of future-and probably more devastating-atrocities by violent Muslims requires the proper use of ideological, educational, and psychological tactics.

Egyptian soldiers tortured female protesters and administered forced “virginity tests” on them following demonstrations this month, a human rights organization reported.

The officers detained at least 18 women after clearing Tahrir Square of protesters on March 9 and took them to a Cairo Museum annex, where they were reportedly handcuffed, beaten with sticks and hoses, called prostitutes and some given electric shocks in the chest and legs, Amnesty International reported in a Wednesday press release.

Salwa Hosseini, 20, told the group the she and other women also were forced to remove all their clothes to be searched by a female prison guard, in a room with two open doors and a window while male soldiers looked in and took pictures.
The women were then subjected to ‘virginity tests’ in a different room by a man in a white coat and threatened that “those not found to be virgins” would be charged with prostitution, Amnesty International reported.

"Forcing women to have ‘virginity tests’ is utterly unacceptable. Its purpose is to degrade women because they are women," said Amnesty International. "All members of the medical profession must refuse to take part in such so-called 'tests.' "
One woman whose test came up negative was beaten and given electric shocks, the group reported.

Journalist Rasha Azeb, who was also detained in Tahrir Square, told Amnesty International that she was handcuffed, beaten and insulted and could hear other women being given electric shocks during her detention at the museum. She was released several hours later with four other men who were also journalists, but the 17 other women were transferred to the military prison in Heikstep.
Testimonies from other women collected by the El Nadeem Center for Rehabilitation of Victims of Violence also were consistent with Azeb and Hosseini’s accounts, Amnesty.org reported.

The group is calling on Egyptian authorities to investigate the allegations and instruct army forces that such behavior will not be tolerated.

“Women and girls must be able to express their views on the future of Egypt and protest against the government without being detained, tortured, or subjected to profoundly degrading and discriminatory treatment,” said Amnesty International. “…the women could be at further risk of harm if the photographs were made public.”
The Egyptian military has repeatedly denied torturing civilians.

The head of the military police told an Egyptian newspaper last week that video footage showing torture was fabricated to create divisions between the public and the military.

Human rights groups also have criticized Egypt's new leaders for trying civilians in military courts.

Amnesty International reported that all 17 women detained in the military prison reportedly were brought before a military court on March 11. Several received one-year suspended prison sentences.

Those who wish to understand the genocidal potentialities of jihad would do well to examine, however briefly, the ethic of war and peace of Sayyid Qutb (1906-1966), one of the twentieth century’s most influential Muslim thinkers.

Qutb and radical Islamists such as Osama Bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri and their followers take the behavior of Muhammad and his Rightly Guided Companions as the paradigmatic role models for the vanguard that is to overcome jahiliyya, defined by Qutb as the “state of ignorance of the guidance of God,” and restore the sovereignty of Allah to humanity.

In 1951, Qutb joined the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood and quickly assumed a leadership role. For Islamists such as Qutb, the ummah consisted solely of the worldwide community of truly believing Muslims. Neither in Muhammad’s time nor today could there be any place for Christians within the world of Islam, save as dhimmis.

The Muslim Student Association
. The MSA is a propaganda organization whose twofold purpose is to (a) infiltrate campuses in order to spread its doctrine of hate and terror, and (b) to prevent other organizations from operating on the same campus which could expose the true aims of the MSA. The MSA is funded by the radical Wahhabis or al-Muwabbidun (The asserters of the divine unity), of Saudi Arabia who funded the training of the terrorists of 9/11, as well as supplied the followers who carried out that act. The most prominent member of the Wahhabis is Osama bin Laden. The Wahhabis number in the millions – with wealth a million times that. And their stated goal is to convert the entire world to Islam and establish Sharia law as the only law in the land. To this end, the Wahhabis fund organizations in every part of the world whose specific aim is to help them achieve this purpose. The most powerful place chosen by the al-Muwabbidun is to carry out this aim is on the campuses of colleges and universities. To that aim, the Wahhabis specifically created the Muslim Student Association - the MSA.

Proof of the dangerous intent of the MSA has existed for many years – most prominent proof is its deep ties to the Muslim Brotherhood which was founded in Egypt. The mission of the Brotherhood – converting the entire world to Islam – was outlined in 1981 in a set of principles explaining how it would achieve that goal. Of the 12 principles outlined, the 10th is the most frightening and most revealing:

“To use diverse and varied surveillance systems, in several places, to gather information and adopt a single effective warning system serving the worldwide Islamic movement. In fact, surveillance, policy decisions and effective communications complement each other.”

The ‘surveillance system’ which the Brotherhood is referring to is that of a college or university campus. In its history of recruiting members to its terrorist cause, the Brotherhood’s highest success has come from universities. Recruitment of terrorists in universities first began in the middle of the last century in the Middle East and northern Africa, specifically in Egypt where the leaders of the Brotherhood first began. The Brotherhood then spread northward to campuses in Europe, chief of which was Germany whose universities spawned one third of the terrorists who masterminded the atrocities on 9/11. Many of these campus recruiting organizations were shut down after 9/11, but in no way did that mean the Brotherhood disappeared. To the contrary – it stayed exactly the same, while merely changing its outward appearance.

In America, its new identity was the organization known as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (“CAIR”). CAIR has long been recognized as the terrorist-affiliated organization it is – since 9/11, it has been named countless times as an ‘unindicted co-conspirator’ in the trials of terrorists apprehended by the United States government. CAIR has long protested that it is a ‘peaceful’ organization but peace does not find common cause with terrorists. CAIR associates with terrorists because its aim is the same – to convert the world to Islam by any means necessary. Jihad. And, as everyone knows, one can not wage Jihad unless one first recruits warriors.

This is why the Muslim Student Association came into being. Founded in 1963, it now claims to have 600 chapters in colleges throughout the United States and Canada. Like CAIR, the violent purpose of the MSA is revealed by its own links with terrorist organizations – namely, the Muslim World League (“MWL” - founded in 1962) and the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (“WAMY”). Both the MWL and WAMY were co-founded by extremists – in fact, MWL was founded by the brother-in-law of Osama bin Laden - Jamal Khalifa. In the 1980’s, the Pakistani branch of the MWL was run by the mentor of Osama bin Laden – Abdulla Azzam.

The MSA is a necessary part of this Jihad because the MSA operates in the venue which delivers the highest number of recruits to Jihad. University campuses are the vulnerable breeding grounds where the most fanatical followers are to be found. Young, impressionable students, inexperienced in reality and naïve enough to trust what they are told are easy targets for the MSA. By moving in their midst, becoming familiar to them, by speaking and lecturing to them, the MSA achieves its purpose in recruiting followers to Jihad.

Reuters is saying the protests in Egypt are "huge". Although a few thousand people do not equate to "huge" in a country of Millions. Cairo alone has over 18 million people. It's clear Reuters wants to see blood in the street and if that's not happening they (Reuters) will make it seems so.

The violence in Egypt is clearly being led by the poor election losers: The Muslim Brotherhood and they\ir radical buddies in the masjids.

Five years before the 9/11 attacks, al-Qaida declared war on America, the West, Christians and Jews – and virtually no one noticed.

Now, a longtime observer of Islam is warning that a "war declaration" of potentially much greater significance has been made.

The Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, Muhammad Badi, who was elected only months ago, has "endorsed anti-American Jihad and pretty much every element in the al-Qaida ideology book," writes Barry Rubin, author and director of the Global Research in International Affairs Center and editor of the Middle East Review of International Affairs Journal.

The Brotherhood – the dominant Islamic organization in the West that has spawned most of the major Muslim terrorist groups, including al-Qaida, along with the largest "mainstream" organizations – is giving the signal that it is "ready to move from the era of propaganda and base-building to one of revolutionary action," says Rubin.

The remarks were delivered in a weekly sermon, published Sept. 30 on the Muslim Brotherhood's website and translated into English by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

Governments trying to stop Muslims from fighting the U.S., he said, "are disregarding Allah's commandment to wage jihad for His sake with [their] money and [their] lives, so that Allah's word will reign supreme" over all non-Muslims.

Rubin concludes: "Let it be said that in September 2010, the Muslim Brotherhood, a group with 100 times more activists than al-Qaida, issued its declaration of war."

He calls the sermon "one of those obscure Middle East events of the utmost significance that is ignored by the Western mass media, especially because they happen in Arabic, not English; by Western governments, because they don't fit their policies; and by experts, because they don't mesh with their preconceptions."

The sermon is a signal to the Brotherhood's hundreds of thousands of followers, Rubin says.

"Some of them will engage in terrorist violence as individuals or forming splinter groups; others will redouble their efforts to seize control of their countries and turn them into safe areas for terrorists and instruments for war on the West."

Rubin calls Badi's "explicit formulation of a revolutionary program" a "game-changer."

"It should be read by every Western decision-maker and have a direct effect on policy because this development may affect people's lives in every Western country," he writes.

Some U.S. and Western leaders are urging engagement and partnership with the Brotherhood, Rubin notes, because they regard it as moderate. But the movement, founded in the 1920s in the wake of the collapse of the Ottoman Turkish empire, considers itself an instrument of the charge Muslims were given when Islam was founded 1,400 years ago – to make the Quran and Allah's authority supreme over the entire world.

In a 1991 document titled "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America," the Brotherhood stated the Muslim community "must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

In his sermon, Badi declared Arab and Muslim regimes are betraying their people by failing to confront the Muslim's real enemies, not only Israel but also the United States.

All Muslims are required by their religion to fight, he said: "They crucially need to understand that the improvement and change that the [Muslim] nation seeks can only be attained through jihad and sacrifice and by raising a jihadi generation that pursues death just as the enemies pursue life."

Asked by WND to assess Rubin's conclusions, Robert Spencer, author and director of the website JihadWatch.org, said Rubin is right that "war against the West has been the Brotherhood's program, according to captured internal documents, since at least 1982."

"This sermon just crystallizes many of the ideas contained in those documents," he told WND.

Spencer said be believes it's possible that Badi's sermon is a seminal declaration of war comparable to al-Qaida's 1996 declaration.

"It certainly could be," he said, "but I don't see it as all that much qualitatively different from things they've said before. If they were dedicated as far back as 1991 to 'eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within,' this doesn't seem to represent a huge departure."

Call to arms

Rubin emphasizes the significance of the remarks coming from Badi. He explains that when a "marginal Muslim cleric" like Britain's Anjem Choudary says that Islam will conquer the West and raise its flag over the White House, the remark can be treated as "wild rhetoric."

"But when the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood says the same thing in Arabic, that's a program for action, a call to arms for hundreds of thousands of people, and a national security threat to every Western country," Rubin says.

Rubin notes the Muslim Brotherhood controls front groups recognized by Western governments and media as authoritative. Government officials in many countries meet with these groups, he says, asking them to be advisers for counter-terrorist strategies and national policies.

Prominent U.S. organizations launched by Muslim Brotherhood leaders include the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Muslim Students Association, North American Islamic Trust, the Islamic Society of North America, the American Muslim Council, the Muslim American Society and the International Institute of Islamic Thought.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR – a self-described civil rights group that has more than a dozen former and current leaders with known associations with violent jihad – is trying to keep alive a lawsuit against WND and two investigators behind the best-selling expose "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America."

CAIR's origin as a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas is documented in "Muslim Mafia." CAIR and some of its leaders were confirmed by the Justice Department as unindicted co-conspirators in the trial of the Texas-based Holy Land Foundation, which was convicted of helping fund Hamas.

Rubin points out President Obama "speaks about a conflict limited solely to al-Qaida," which "makes sense when referring to Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen."

"Yet there is a far bigger and wider battle going on in which revolutionary Islamists seek to overthrow their own rulers and wage long-term, full-scale struggle against the West," he says. "If it doesn't involve violence right now, it will when they get strong enough or gain power."

Three years ago, Rubin published a detailed analysis of the development, explaining that the "banner of the Islamist revolution in the Middle East today has largely passed to groups sponsored by or derived from the Muslim Brotherhood."

The exposure, he writes, "so upset the Brotherhood that it put a detailed response on its official website to deny my analysis."

"Yet now here is the Brotherhood's new supreme guide, Muhammad Badi giving a sermon entitled, 'How Islam Confronts the Oppression and Tyranny,'" Rubin says.

Badi's interpretation, he says, is in tune with the stances and holy books of normative Islam.

"It is not the only possible interpretation, but it is a completely legitimate interpretation," he says. "Every Muslim knows, even if he disagrees with the Brotherhood's position, that this isn't heresy or hijacking or misunderstanding."

Conservative hero Alan Keyes is asking whether there is a pattern of submission surrounding the nation's 9/11 sites. Apparently he has seen our video expose of Islamic and terrorist memorializing features in the crescent memorial to Flight 93 (now called a broken circle). Like any straight-thinker, he doesn't like what he sees. The Flight 93 crash site is no place for a giant Islamic-shaped crescent, no matter what it is called.

On this point, Keyes cites Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo's 2005 objection to the newly unveiled Crescent of Embrace design:

Back in 2005, then-Rep. Tom Tancredo was reported to have sent a letter to the National Park Service "asking the Interior Department to reconsider the crescent-shaped design of the memorial to those aboard a plane hijacked on Sept. 11, 2001, because some may think it honors the terrorists." Tancredo quite sensibly argues that "regardless of whether 'the invocation of a Muslim Symbol' was intentional, 'it seems that such a symbol is unsuitable for paying appropriate tribute to the heroes of Flight 93 or the ensuing American struggle against radical Islam.'"

Keyes notes our claim that the design is still replete with terrorist memorializing features and he seems to find it credible. Why shouldn't he? The damning features are all right there in architect Paul Murdoch's design drawings. Thank you Doctor Keyes!

Anyone live within driving distance of Somerset Pennsylvania? It's a beautiful place to visit and a group of motorcyclists from Indianapolis is already going.

Tom Burnett Senior and Alec Rawls are buying full page color ads in the Somerset Daily American for both Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th, so anyone who makes the trip will have a ready made protest sign waiting for them. Just buy a newspaper, tape the ad to a piece of cardboard, and let the massed national media know what side you are on.

That's right. With Laura Bush and Michelle Obama both attending, it's going to be a media circus, and a rare opportunity to force coverage of our issue. Just self-organize. Ad-holders will show a core of united opposition (and the media might even be forced to read our brief expose).

It's not really surprising that President Obama told NASA administrator Charles Bolden that his highest priority should be "to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science ... and math and engineering." It fits with so much that we already knew about the president.

It is consistent with his wildly exaggerated concept of governmental and presidential power and competence. Samuel Johnson wrote: "How small, of all that human hearts endure, that part which laws or kings can cause or cure." Obama believes the opposite -- that his presidency can be a transformative moment not just for the nation, but for the world. He will halt global warming and stop the rise of the oceans, transition America to a green energy future, prevent the "cycle of boom and bust" in the economy, provide universal health care while spending less than before, cushion "underwater" mortgage holders without rewarding profligate borrowers, increase taxes on the "rich" without harming the middle class, solve the problem of excessive public debt by amassing more public debt and so on.

How in the world would NASA help Muslim nations to "feel good" about themselves? Would NASA hold science fairs in Tripoli or Tehran? Produce and circulate propaganda films about Great Muslim Men (careful, never women) of Science? Stress our global debt to Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, the father of algebra? (That's risky, since al-Khwarizmi reportedly learned his math from the Indians.) How would Obama's NASA chief undertake to alter the civilizational self-esteem of a billion people?

Of course, it's entirely possible (pace Bernard Lewis) that the Muslim world does not lack for self-esteem on the matter of science or anything else. Certainly, scientific know-how has not been lacking in nuclear-armed Pakistan or (would be) nuclear Iran. Besides, hasn't Obama heard? The whole self-esteem myth has been exploded. Though millions of tax dollars and God only knows how many wasted instructional hours have gone toward making American kids think they are really, really special, it turns out that there is zero correlation between such drilled self-esteem and academic performance. (See Scientific American, January 2005)

The Obama directive to NASA also revealed a mental tic common to liberals -- the tendency to universalize the African-American experience. Just as African-Americans were denied their rights and dignity, goes this reasoning, so today fill-in-the-blank are being persecuted or demeaned -- women, gays, Muslims, the handicapped, illegal immigrants, Palestinians, "people of color."

But this line of reasoning impedes rather than advances understanding. The African-American experience in America was actually very different from that of women, gays, the handicapped, illegal immigrants, or others here, to say nothing of the experience of Palestinians or "people of color" worldwide. Invoking the emotionally charged civil rights paradigm closes the door on nuance and context and encourages dogmatism.

To treat the Muslim world as a vast ocean of African-Americans in need of respect and encouragement from us is both arrogant and incredibly solipsistic. In fact, large swaths of the Muslim world feel inexpressibly superior to us -- particularly morally and spiritually. Until cold terror forced them to accept American servicemen on their soil, the Saudis kept "infidel" pollution to the barest minimum in the home of the prophet. That wasn't an expression of inferiority. Osama bin Laden boasted in 2000 that he had defeated the Soviet Empire and that it would be a small matter to defeat the American one. Again, he may have been deluded, but he was not a candidate for assertiveness training. Nearly every Muslim child is instructed that his is the true faith, superior in every way to the errors that came before: Judaism and Christianity, and infinitely above paganism or atheism. Jihadis are taught that their shining pure religion requires no less than the mass murder of infidels and unbelievers.

It might just be that Muslim self-confidence is more dangerous to us than imagined Muslim feelings of inadequacy. But in any case, solicitude about the feelings of individuals cannot comprise a foreign policy. Muslim nations, like other nations, are motivated by advantage and influenced by perceptions of strength and weakness. The president has absolutely no control over the way Muslims feel about themselves -- but he has every power over the way they perceive us.

Dear Friends,

Here is a letter to the editor that I sent to the San Jose Mercury this morning that I thought you might be interested in reading.

What you might not know about me is that I am a huge baseball fan - season tickets at Giants games for over 30 years (at Candlestick and now AT&T). When I was a very young child, there were no major league baseball teams on the West Coast. Because of Jackie Robinson, my first life hero, I became a Brooklyn Dodger fan. I took a strong interest in the plight of a young baseball player facing prejudice and true racism while simply trying to play baseball.

It is because of this background, I find it particularly insulting that the media would allow these false charges about the Tea Party Movement to stand without editorials defending the right of individuals to speak out - even if they do not agree with the message. The media must realize that the accusation of racism is a callous effort to undermine the voice of 60% of Americans (in latest ABC/Washington Post poll) who do not trust Barack Obama.

The accusations of racism in the Tea Party Movement by the NAACP and media editorials are nothing but scurrilous lies. What do the issues that the Tea Party Movement protests have to do with race? Absolutely nothing. As someone whose first life hero was Jackie Robinson, I have never heard or seen a racist comment or poster at a tea party event.

The Tea Party Movement opposes stimulus packages, bailouts, ObamaCare, government spending, high taxation, deficit spending, and a burgeoning national debt. What do any of these issues have to do with race or racism? The charge of racism in the Tea Party Movement is a fraud perpetrated by those who are using diversionary tactics to attempt to deflect attention away from the many failures of the Obama administration.

However, I am siding with Mr. Kohn in this matter. Like him, I see his dance as a victory over the Holocaust. The Final Solution destroyed its victims in one of two ways - body and soul. Obviously Auschwitz did not destroy his body - but they would have succeeded in destroying his soul if they'd reduced him to a bitter old man, incapable of ever again taking pleasure in the scent of a flower, the touch of a loving person's hand -- or the sound of music. But that didn't happen. Instead, Mr. Kohn returned to the camp, to the ovens, the showers and the trains - to everything which tried to destroy him; and in front of each and every one of them, he danced.

As I see it, Mr. Kohn has triumphed. Since the greatest triumph of the human spirit is to be able to still experience joy, Mr. Kohn's dance proves he has truly done that. God bless him. L'Chaim.

One would think an imam really committed to tolerance, peace and inclusiveness would have no qualms about signing a “Freedom Pledge,” which includes a pledge to oppose any form of sharia-sanctioned punishment against “apostates” of Islam (those who have left Islam).

As the revealing commentary below notes, the “Ground Zero Mosque” imam has refused to sign this pledge. Actions do indeed speak louder than words.

On October 20, 2009, American Society of Muslim Advancement (ASMA) leader Feisal Abdul Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan, both received a letter from Former Muslims United (FMU) requesting that they each sign the latter's Freedom Pledge. Neither has yet signed.

Rauf and Khan both claim to be moderate Muslims. Yet they are determined to rip down a 150-year-old wrought iron building --- less than 200 feet from Ground Zero --- where a piece of jumbo jet fell through its roof on 9/11 after Saudi suicide bombers flew two loaded passenger planes into each of the World Trade Center towers. The fuselage remains in the building to date. In its place, Rauf and Khan want to build a 13-story mosque.

The Cordoba Initiative, an ASMA subsidiary, claims the building will not be a mosque but a “cultural center” open to all. However, ASMA registered itself as a “church” with the Internal Revenue Service --- not a cultural institute open to all, according to Guidestar. The building will indeed be a mosque, and open to all only so as to “invite” non-Muslims to Islam. In Malaysia the title of Rauf's 2004 book What's Right With Islam, complete with its introduction from Muslim Brotherhood devotee Karen Armstrong, translates to “The Call from the WTC Rubble.” For decades, Rauf and Khan have operated entirely in sync with global Muslim Brotherhood “flexibility” guidelines, which in North America seek to replace the U.S. Constitution with Islamic law.

Now there is new evidence that ASMA's purportedly “moderate” leaders do not support basic human rights for former Muslims: They failed to even acknowledge an October 20, 2009 invitation from Former Muslims United to sign its Freedom Pledge.

FMU initially sent the Freedom Pledge, fully named the “Muslim Pledge for Religious Freedom and Safety from Harm for Former Muslims,” to 59 major Muslim leaders at 24 Muslim organizations in time for them to have it on September 25, 2009 --- the day on which, 220 years earlier, the U.S. Congress passed the Bill of Rights. The letters to Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan were sent in a second Oct. 20, 2009 round of invitations that went to 51 Muslim leaders at 26 more organizations, including ASMA, which houses the Cordoba Initiative.

In their request that Muslim leaders sign the Freedom Pledge, FMU executive director Nonie Darwish, and her colleagues Ibn Warraq, Mohammed Asghar, Wafa Sultan, and Amil Imani wrote

“we now pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor to achieve for former Muslims their unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We claim these rights as the foundation for our right to freedom from Shariah. We urge you to join us.”

The 878- word Freedom Pledge itself outlines the principles of Islamic law under which apostates from Islam are subject to the death penalty. It notes that the four schools of Sunni Islam --- Hanafi, Miliki, Shafi'i and Hanbali --- “unanimously agree that a former Muslim male, also known as an apostate, must be executed” and that a woman, at best must be “imprisoned or beaten five times a day until she repents or dies” and at worst, like men executed outright. It then goes on to cite 1978 and 1989 religious rulings --- from the Fatwa Council at Al Azhar University, the closest Muslim equivalent to the Vatican, and the Mufti of Lebanon, each, respectively consigning a renegade Muslim to death if they “do not repent.” Perhaps “a misunderstanding on his part may have taken place, and there would thus be an opportunity to rectify it,” intones the Mufti. But he must do so within three days, or die.

“Overwhelmingly, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan ... do not honor freedom to choose one’s beliefs as guaranteed under our [U.S.] First Amendment,” said Nonie Darwish in response to their dead silence since October 20, 2009. “That is the only conclusion we can draw” by their failure to acknowledge or sign the Freedom Pledge.

Rauf and Khan nevertheless hope to convince Americans that they think exactly the opposite. On July 6, 2010 at the Chautauqua Institute in New York state, Khan said

“The Quran speaks of humankind as one nation under God. We find that in America,.... The Quran speaks of one creator and the founding document says that everyone is endowed by the creator with inalienable rights.”

During the question and answer period that followed, an audience member asked Khan if the proposed Cordoba House mosque 200 feet from Ground Zero could be seen as a victory for Muslim radicals infiltrating America. She replied,

“It is a defeat to the extremists, ... because Cordoba House will celebrate the very ideology that the extremists detest, which is the ideology of inclusiveness, pluralism, and coexistence between faiths.”

Khan referred there specifically to Quran Chapter 3, verse 109, which states,

“To God belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth, and unto Him all matters are returned.”

However, she deceptively omits the critical following verse, 3:110, clearly stating that Muslims alone --- not other human beings --- are acceptable to Allah.

“You are the best nation ever brought forth to men, bidding to honor, and forbidding dishonor, and believing in God. Had the People of the Book believed, it were better for them; some of them are believers, but the most of them are ungodly.”

The point is reiterated, moreover, in the Tafsir (commentary) on the verse by al-Jalalayn:

“You, O community of Muhammad (s), are the best community brought forth, manifested, to men, according to God’s knowledge, enjoining decency, and forbidding indecency, and believing in God. Had the People of the Scripture believed, it, their belief, would have been better for them; some of them are believers, such as ‘Abd Allah b. Salam, may God be pleased with him and his companions; but most of them, the disbelievers, are wicked.”

The Quran expresses the same revulsion for non-Muslim “disbelievers” in Chapter 98, verse 6:

“The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters shall be in the Fire of Gehenna, therein dwelling forever; those are the worst of creatures.”

The al-Jalalayn Tafsir on this verse is equally adamant about the evils of unbelievers:

“Truly the disbelievers from among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters shall be in the fire of Hell, to abide therein (khalidina: an implied circumstantial qualifier, in other words, it will be decreed for them by God, exalted be He, to abide therein) — those are the worst of creatures.”

This is not the stuff of sweetness, love and light. Rather, it reflects Rauf's genuine feelings, as he has more than once expressed in Arabic. Clearly, Rauf himself reveres sharia law and wants to impose it. On Dec. 9, 2007, Rauf told the popular Arabic newspaper Hadi el-Islam,

“Throughout my discussions with contemporary Muslim theologians, it is clear an Islamic state can be established in more than just a single form or mold. It can be established through a kingdom or a democracy. The important issue is to establish the general fundamentals of Sharia that are required to govern.

“In the period after the Prophet, peace be upon him, new laws were permitted so long of course as these laws do not contradict the Quran or the Deeds of Muhammad... so they create institutions that assure [that there are] no conflicts with sharia.

“We recommend that in the case of a breakdown in the relationship between state and religious institutions ... that the people follow the method of giving peaceful advice to governors and state institutions and use peaceful means [to convert them].

“And also [to] suggest that the rulers and political bodies consult with religious bodies and religious figures ... so that [political] decisions reflect the spirit of the [sharia] law.

In March 2010, he even denounced interfaith discussions. The article in another popular Arabic journal, Rights4All, was entitled “The Most Prominent Imam in New York: ‘I Do Not Believe in Religious Dialogue’,” according to former Muslim and native Arabic speaker Walid Shoebat. In it, Rauf spoke against both “religious dialogue” and “interweaving into the mainstream society.”

“This phrase is inaccurate. Religious dialogue as customarily understood is a set of events with discussions in large hotels that result in nothing. Religions do not dialogue and dialogue is not present in the attitudes of the followers, regardless of being Muslim or Christian.”

Given these sentiments, it is no wonder whatever that neither Rauf nor his wife Daisy Khan would sign the FMU Freedom Pledge, promising to

“renounce, repudiate and oppose any physical intimidation, or worldly and corporal punishment, of apostates from Islam, in whatever way that punishment may be determined or carried out by myself or any other Muslim including the family of the apostate, community, Mosque leaders, Shariah court or judge, and Muslim government or regime.”

In fact, only two of the 111 Muslim leaders in 50 U.S. Muslim organizations to whom FMU sent the Freedom Pledge actually signed it. Those two heroes are Zuhdi Jasser (American Islamic Forum for Democracy) and Dr. Ali Alyami (Center for Democracy and Human Rights in Saudi Arabia).

The sad facts are these:

The results of the FMU Freedom Pledge --- to date sent to 163 American Muslim leaders at 50 organizations --- show that less than 1.3% of American Muslim leaders are actually moderate.

Neither Feisal Abdul Rauf nor Daisy Khan fall into that moderate category --- despite their massive efforts to pull the wool over public and political eyes. Their silence concerning human rights for former Muslims proves it, although certainly, so do many of their other actions, not least their long history of subterfuge concerning their real intentions.

At Chautauqua on July 6, Daisy Khan should have told the truth: Yes, allowing a mosque to go up in place of an historic building at Ground Zero would be a triumph for extremist Muslims. Moreover, ASMA and the Cordoba Institute are among the heavy weight extremists leading that charge.

A Government Against Its People

Over the past several weeks, Americans have witnessed the most overt racism to date on the part of the Federal Government under Barack Obama. Racists New Black Panther thugs have been exposed for what they really are, and the Eric Holder Justice Department, with the approval of Barack Obama, has made it clear that such racism from blacks will be excused.

I am a black who came of age in the waning days of legalized segregation in the South. Occurrences of racism (black and white) are not new to me. The phenomenon itself is a human thing; it comes in all stripes. But what gravely irritates me is how today’s crop of leaders and elites respond to the scourge of racism.

Radio and talk show host Glen Beck, not someone of whom I am particularly fond, at least chronicles rabid racist behavior all around. He has begun a discussion on his television show. Beck, however, when reporting the racist rants of the New Black Panthers, goes tepid. I sense that because he is white, he thinks that he must tread lightly when discussing blacks. He was quick to call Mel Gibson, the white movie actor, a few choice derogatory names for Gibson’s latest racial rant. But the more detrimental racism of the Panthers (scaring folks away from voting places) was handled forcefully, yes, but without the derogatory names.

Even Rush Limbaugh, though not as much as Beck, tends to hold back when it comes to blacks. Recently on his radio show, he allowed a black woman to berate him mercilessly about his so-called “attacks” on Barack Obama. Yes, I can usually detect a black person’s voice if that person is not affecting speech other the dialect I grew up hearing as a child. Her slavish obeisance to Obama was also a give-away.

That hesitancy on Limbaugh’s part was not there when he encountered a Hispanic caller with a different take than his own on the Arizona illegal immigration law. He told his call-screener to stop sending him stupid calls. I frankly thought the Hispanic guy had a better argument than the black woman.

The problem with this tepidness regarding race from the media talking heads and the elite political classes in general is that everyday Americans are tired of it (I include myself in that group). This capitulation to bad-acting blacks is setting the stage for serious violence. Because Beck and company can’t bring themselves to confront more harshly behavior that threatens white people’s lives doesn’t mean that Aryan Nations won’t. And what better reason do neo-Nazis have than the fact that the Government in Washington has sided with racist blacks? A government that should be fighting racism from all quarters has chosen to take sides. If that fact doesn’t drive people into a posture of self-preservation, I ask what will? And trust me, I don’t think the Nations need much prodding.

The other sad result of Obama’s racist tactics is that everyday, decent Americans are being driven to hate their government and the people who look like the man who heads it. Those everyday, decent Americans will not sit quietly forever. And it will not matter one iota if the elites, the talking heads, and the political classes are screaming—a la Rodney King—for a one-sided “civility.” Moreover, blacks will bear the brunt of the turmoil. Some responsible body in Washington had better heed the warning before it is too late.

What is negrophilia and why does it matter?

I recently finished reading the book Negrophilia: From Slave Block to Pedestal-- America ’s Racial Obsession, by Erik Rush, a black American author. I thought it worth sharing what this term means in the context of what is happening in America . The information in Rush’s book needs to be disseminated throughout the country if we are to survive Barack Hussein Obama.

If I may paraphrase, the condition of negrophilia, spawned from political correctness (PC), is the irrational state of refusing to see evil in some blacks and attributing to all blacks a mythical “holiness.” Sort of a twisted reasoning that blacks can do no wrong because they have suffered so much. Never mind that other races and groups have suffered as much or more, whites (even the sane ones) have been so indoctrinated through PC that they can’t see the idiocy in this thinking. That is deadly.

Consider these examples.

Obama has tried as best he can to put obstacles in the way of efforts to protect the Gulf coastline from the oil spill. He literally denied state officials the resources that they needed and requested. Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana went around him. Equipment is now being employed to dredge the oil away from the shore. Obama (through the Coast Guard) recently stopped the dredging. The excuse is that moving the sand harms the environment. The oil, of course, will do more damage to the environment and the economies of the states affected.

Why then would conservative leaders, such as Newt Gingrich, still be attributing the abysmal responses on Obama’s part to “incompetence?” Any right-minded person can see that these actions are by design. They are to destroy the oil industry and eventually the nation. Why can’t a man as intelligent as Gingrich grasp this fact? I think negrophilia fits here. Gingrich can’t bring himself to admit that Obama is an evil, disturbed man, because Obama is half-black.

Obama and his sycophants posed a six-month drilling moratorium until they can determine how to prevent another spill of this magnitude. Newsflash: As long as humans run an endeavor, there will always be accidents and mishaps. The evil in this move is glaring. Thousands of Americans will lose their jobs. If they do receive the shakedown money stolen from British Petroleum (BP), what are they to do after six months? The jobs won’t be there; they will go to foreign countries. These people are self-sufficient workers; welfare does not work for them. Why won’t the Republican conservative leadership get behind the people taking legal action against Obama on this issue? Why aren’t they announcing broadly that the behavior is not against BP but against average Americans? What besides a disorder such as negrophilia can possibly account for this craven weakness in the opponents of Barack Obama?

Governor Jan Brewer and the citizens of Arizona decided that they would take action to protect themselves against the incursion of illegal aliens. Attorney General Eric Holder and Obama (both black men) immediately attacked their actions, without first having read the law that Arizona citizens proposed. Why was there such a tepid response from Republican leaders on this behavior? As an American, it shamed me that there was not more damaging outcry from so-called leaders.

Further, why is there not an actionable response to Obama’s disrespectful treatment of Governor Brewer? He simply ignored her as she pleaded for assistance. What white President could get away with that kind of crap? Not one. Yet the fear of Obama’s blackness, the disorder of negrophilia in play, ensured that the airwaves would be silent of people who could actually do something about the behavior: political leaders. I am livid witnessing the degree of spinelessness in face of such unprecedented lawlessness from Obama. It’s enough to make a sane person do something drastic—like join a militia.

And more, a general and his staff have made statements that reflect their true disgust toward a weak, pansy of a Commander-in-Chief, who despises them all. Obama has done more to cripple the American military than any enemy past or present could ever have hoped to accomplish. He is set on corrupting unit cohesion with open homosexual behavior in the ranks; he shows disdain for the fighting forces by rubbing his affinity for Muslims in their face, when Muslim Islamists are the very people they are fighting; and he despises the Judeo-Christian faith to which the majority of the soldiers adhere. That all Americans who oppose this miscreant Barack Obama are not standing before the White House gates with pitchforks and flaming torches (or the 21st Century equivalents) is a sickening travesty. How much more will Americans allow this despicable person to do before they get in his face and say “No More!”?

Sadly, the only outcome that I can foresee (barring a real game changer at the polls in November 2010) is that the vast majority of Americans—the non-elites, the non-talking heads, and particularly, those who are not afflicted with negrophilia—will revolt. Whichever side wins that confrontation, Americans or Obama and the Left, will face the task of rebuilding the nation, either in the image that the Founders relying on Judeo-Christian principles intended or the image that Obama and the Left intend. If the Left wins, there will be no America , as we once knew it.

On May 24th, the New York Post published an important op-ed written by our friend and colleague, Zuhdi Jasser, president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy.

You can read Dr. Jasser’s op-ed here. Following is a short excerpt.

I am an American Muslim dedicated to defeating the ideology that fuels global lslamist terror -- political Islam. And I don't see such a "center" actually fighting terrorism or being a very "positive" addition near Ground Zero, no matter how well intentioned.

To put it bluntly, Ground Zero is the one place in America where Muslims should think less about teaching Islam and "our good side" and more about being American and fulfilling our responsibilities to confront the ideology of our enemies.

How we wish that the White House, Congress, and our law enforcement and intelligence communities would reach out more to Muslims like Zuhdi Jasser, instead of legitimizing Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated organizations that were named unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial.

Organizations like ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) and CAIR (Council on American Islamic-Relations).

•President Obama, his win in 2008 (which the CPUSA takes some credit for) and his reelection in 2012.
•A Democrat majority in both houses of Congress.
•Charlie Crist, the AFL-CIO, Rick Nagin, Rudy Lozano, Organizing for America and MoveOn.
•ObamaCare, unemployment compensation, the Harkin education jobs bill, the Miller Local Jobs for America bill, the Murray bill.
•FDR and LBJ.

On the other hand, the CPUSA is against

•The Republican Party.
•The Tea Party movement.
•Arizona's immigration law.
•And, of course, free markets and limited government.

I know; it is so gauche to say "communist." But it is just kind of tough to report on the Communist Party USA without using that word. Please forgive my social awkwardness.

Last week, PayPal stripped Pamela Geller's site - 'Atlas Shrugs' - of access to her PayPal account. Reason? They accused her of becoming a 'hate site'.

Turns out Geller had angered PayPal by running a series of ads on the sides of buses offering help for Muslims wishing to leave the faith. In revenge, PayPal accused her of 'promoting hate' and blocked her account. PayPal, however, did not block another account - Revolution Muslim which "recently called for the murder of South Park creators Matt Parker and Trey Stone for depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit". In addition, PayPal still has no problem allowing itself to be used on eBay to purchase "DVDs of Imam Anwar al Awlaki, a jihadist cleric who has been linked to Major Nidal Hasan, the alleged Ft. Hood shooter".

After a firestorm of protest, PayPal backtracked and restored Geller's account. But the damage has been done. Geller has now switched her account to a brand new site - 'GPal'.

We are deeply disturbed by the insensitivity to the families of the victims of the 9/11 jihadist attack exhibited by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his supporters. We are offended by the views Imam Rauf has expressed about 9/11, such as his conspiratorial theory that Muslims did not perpetrate the 9/11 attack and that America's policies were partly to blame for the attack. Such views are a slap in the face of the victims and families of 9/11.

We find it repulsive that Imam Rauf and his followers and supporters would seek to build a mosque near ground zero promoting the same Sharia ideology that the 9/11 hijackers used as the justification for their act of unconscionable murder.

Sooner or later it will all come to light!

This could be a scandal of epic proportions and one that makes Nixon's Watergate or Clinton 's Monica Lewinsky affair pale by comparison. Why was there neither rhyme nor reason as to which dealerships of the Chrysler Corporation were to be closed?

Roll the clock back to the weeks just before Chrysler declared bankruptcy. Chrysler, like GM, was in dire financial straits and federal government "graciously" offered to "buy the company" and keep them out of bankruptcy and "save jobs."

Chrysler was, in the words of Obama and his administration, "Too big to fail," same story with GM.

The feds organized their "Automotive Task Force" to fix Chrysler and GM. Obama, in an act that is 100% unconstitutional, appointed a guy named Steve Rattner to be the White House's official Car Czar -
literally, that's what his title is.

Rattner is the liaison between Obama, Chrysler, and GM.

Initially, the national media reported that Chrysler 'had made this list of dealerships'. Not true!

The Washington Examiner, Newsmax, Fox News and a host of other news agencies discovered that the list of dealerships was put together by the "Automotive Task Force" headed by no one other than Mr. Steve
Rattner.

Now the plot thickens.

Remember earlier we said that there was neither rhyme nor reason why certain dealerships were closed?

Actually there's a very interesting pattern as to who was closed down.
Again, on May 27, 2009, The Washington Examiner and Newsmax exposed the connection.

Amazingly, of the 789 dealerships closed by the federal government, 788 had donated money, exclusively to Republican political causes, while contributing nothing to Democratic political causes. The only "Democratic" dealership on the list was found to have donated $7,700 to Hillary's campaign, and a bit over $2,000 to John Edwards. This same dealership, reportedly, also gave $200.00 to Obama's campaign.

Does that seem a little odd to you?

Steve Rattner is the guy who put the list together. Well, he happens to be married to a Maureen White. Maureen happens to be the former national finance chairman of the Democratic National Committee. As
such, she has access to campaign donation records from everyone in the nation- Republican or Democrat. But of course, this is just a wacky
"coincidence," we're certain.

Then comes another really wacky "coincidence."

On that list of dealerships being closed down, a weird thing happened in Arkansas , North Louisiana, and Southern Missouri . It seems that Bill Clinton's former White House Chief of Staff, Mack McClarty, owns
a chain of dealership in that region, partnered with a fellow by the name of Robert Johnson.

Johnson happens to be founder of Black Entertainment Television and was a huge Obama supporter and financier.

These guys own a half dozen Chrysler stores under the company title of RLJ-McClarty-Landers. Interestingly, none of their dealerships were
ordered closed - not one!

While all of their competing Chrysler/Dodge and Jeep dealership were!

Eight dealerships located near the dealerships owned by McClarty and Johnson were ordered shut down. Thus by pure luck, these two major Obama supporters now have virtual monopoly on Chrysler sales in their zone.

Isn't that amazing?

Go look in The Washington Examiner, the story's there, and it's in a dozen or so other web-based news organizations; this isn't being made up.

Now if you thought Chrysler was owned by Fiat, you are mistaken. Under the federal court ruling, 65% of Chrysler is now owned by the federal government and the United Auto Workers union!

Fiat owns 20%.

The other 15% is still privately owned and presumably will be traded on the stock market. Obama smiles and says he doesn't want to run the
auto industry.

As horrifying as this is to comprehend, and being as how this used to be the United States of America , it would appear that the president has the power to destroy private businesses and eliminate upwards of
100,000 jobs just because they don't agree with his political agenda.

There are voices in Washington demanding an explanation, but the "Automotive Task Force" has released no information to the public or to any of the senators demanding answers for what has been done.

Keep your ear to the ground for more on this story. If you've ever wanted to make a difference about anything in your life, get on the phone to your national senator or representative in the House and
demand an investigation into this.

Benjamin Franklin had it right when he said, "All that's necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

Car Czar No More

An amazing thing happened as this story was going to press. Obama's Car Czar, Steve Rattner, resigned on July 13 and was promptly replaced by former steel workers union boss Ron Bloom.
According to CBS News, Rattner left "to return to private life and spend time with his family."

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said, "I hope that he takes another opportunity to bring his unique skills to government service in the future."

By the way, Rattner is under investigation for a multi-million dollar pay-to-play investment bank scandal in New York ....

Uh-oh!

But, we're certain that had nothing to do with his resignation.

And, according to several news sources out there, there are rumors he's being investigated for what could be pay-to-play scandal involving the closing of Chrysler and GM dealerships. Really? Again,
that couldn't have anything to with his resignation-that's ridiculous!
Like CBS said, this guy just wants to "spend more quality time with his family."

Obama has 32 personally appointed "czars" who answer to no one but him, all of whom are acting without any Constitutional authority.

But hey, we're sure they all have "unique skills,"......as Tim Geithner likes to say!

Jobs report a nightmare for Obama progressivism

Concerning the job numbers from May, one can almost echo Henry James's exclamation after examining letters pertaining to Lord Byron's incest: "Nauseating perhaps, but how quite inexpressibly significant." Except that the May numbers' significance can be expressed: A theory is being nibbled to death by facts.

Private-sector job creation almost stopped in May. The 41,000 jobs created were dwarfed by the 411,000 temporary and low-wage government jobs needed to administer the census. Last year's stimulus having failed to hold unemployment below 8 percent as predicted, Barack Obama might advocate another stimulus -- amending Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution, which mandates a census every 10 years. If it were every year, he could take credit for creating 564,000 -- the current number of census takers -- permanent jobs.

May's 41,000 jobs were one-fifth of the April number and substantially fewer than half the number needed to keep pace with the normal growth of the labor force. This is evidence against the theory that a growing government can be counted on to produce prosperity because a government dollar spent has a reliable multiplier effect as it ripples through the economy from which the government took the dollar.

Today's evidence suggesting sluggish job creation might give pause to a less confident person than Obama. But pauses are not in his repertoire of governance. Instead, yielding to what must be a metabolic urge toward statism, he says the Gulf of Mexico oil spill is yet another reason for yet another explosion of government's control of economic life. The spill supposedly makes it urgent to adopt a large tax increase in the form of cap-and-trade energy legislation, which also is climate legislation, the primary purpose of which is, or once was, to combat global warming, such as it is.

At any time, some economic conditions would be better than others, but the more certainty about conditions the better. Today investors and employers are certain that uncertainties are multiplying.

They are uncertain about when interest rates will rise, and by how much. They do not know how badly the economy will be burdened by the expiration, approximately 200 days from now, of the Bush tax cuts for high earners -- a.k.a. investors and employers. They know the costs of Obamacare will be higher than was advertised, but not how much higher. They do not know the potential costs of cap-and-trade and other energy policies. They do not know whether "card check" -- abolition of the right of secret-ballot elections in unionization decisions -- will pass, or how much the economy will be injured by making unions more muscular. They do not know how the functioning of the financial sector will be altered and impeded by the many new regulatory rules and agencies created by the financial reform legislation. The economy has become dependent on government stimulation of demand, and no one knows what will happen as the stimulus spending wanes.

Uncertainty is a consequence of hyperkinetic government, which is a consequence of the governmental confidence that is a consequence of progressivism. The premise of progressivism is that all will be well if enough power is concentrated in Washington, and enough Washington power is concentrated in the executive branch, and enough really clever experts are concentrated in the executive branch. This is why the government's perceived impotence concerning the gulf oil spill is subversive of the Obama administration's master narrative.

Obama is the first president whose presidential campaign was his qualification for the office he sought. He almost said so on Sept. 1, 2008, as a large hurricane made landfall on the Gulf Coast. Megan McArdle of the Atlantic has resurrected Obama's answer when he was asked whether could handle such a crisis.

Using perhaps the royal plural -- a harbinger of grandiosity to come -- Obama cited the size, cost and complexity of his campaign: "Our ability to manage large systems and to execute, I think, has been made clear over the last couple of years," and "indicates the degree to which we can provide the kinds of support and good service that the American people expect."

Progressives generally, and Obama especially, encourage expectations as large as the 1,428-page (cap-and-trade), 1,566-page (financial reform) and 2,409-page (health care) bills they churn out as "comprehensive" solutions to this and that. For a proper progressive, anything short of a "comprehensive" solution to, say, the problem of illegal immigration is unworthy of consideration. For today's progressive president, the prospect of a jobless recovery is a comprehensive nightmare.

Obama Incompetence and blame

*Never thought I'd see the day. The media is turning on Obama. And nowhere is it more stunningly evident than in this astounding article by Rolling Stone on the Gulf oil spill. The Obama administration has been loudly declaring that the spill is all Bush's fault and that the White House is adequately covering the ecological disaster. Rolling Stone, however, isn't buying any of it. As their devastating article makes clear, Obama is fully to blame for what has gone wrong.

It was Obama - not Bush - who authorized BP to begin drilling in the Gulf. And it was Obama - not Bush - who refused to clean up the Minerals Management Service ("MMS") which oversees oil drilling in America. Long before Obama took office, the MMS had been revealed as massively corrupt. Instead of policing oil companies, MMS had instead allowed the companies to do that themselves (amazingly, the companies were allowed to write the 'investigation' reports in pencil, whereupon MMS would simply copy over it in ink). In exchange for this, MMS officials were given cash, drugs and sex - and oil companies like BP were allowed to drill without proper safety precautions.

Amid great fanfare, Obama appointed Ken Salazar as Interior Secretary to clean up this corruption. Salazar's orders were explicit - force the offshore oil companies to adhere to proper safety standards and clean up MMS. Unfortunately, Salazar did neither. As the article reveals in devastating detail, Salazar not only allowed the oil companies to continue ignoring safety standards, he even increased the amount of offshore drilling to higher levels than any previous administration. As for MSS? Salazar made only token 'cleanup' of the agency; corrupt individuals were allowed to keep their jobs and, sadly, continue the lax oversight of the past. Result? A Gulf oil spill which now is on track to becoming this nation's worst ecological disaster ever.

The bitter irony is that Obama allowed this deadly offshore drilling in order to help the environment. Obama, it turns out, was desperate to pass his 'Cap & Trade' environmental bill in the next few months; however, he knew he couldn't do it unless he had the oil companies on board. Ergo, he made a Faustian deal with them - if he would allow them to drill offshore, they would not oppose his 'Cap & Trade' bill. (And we can all see how well that turned out.)

What amazes me, however, about Rolling Stone's article is not that it covers all this in extreme detail (8 pages but worth the read) but that it blasts Obama for his role in it. Rolling Stone's anger at Obama is evident in every page - which is truly surprising; up until now, the magazine has been one of Obama's most fervent admirers. That admiration, however, has now officially ground to a halt. Folks, it's official. The media is finally admitting that the Emperor has no clothes.

Options to plug the BP oil spill available, but Obama ignores them

-Natural oil eating bacteria was successfully used to clean up the ocean and shores after the Exxon Valdez accident. To date, the company which produces up to 200,000 gallons a day of the oil eating bacteria has not had their phone calls returned by Obama's White House or BP.

-Kevin Costner has a small fleet of oil cleaning centrifuges at the ready. This device actually recovers lost oil. Again, Obama's White House is dithering and BP will not return Costner's appeals. Costner testified in front of Congress that he was ready to help on day one of the spill over 50 days ago.

-The Dutch government offered to help with the spill on day one. Obama and BP told them "no thanks" over 50 days ago. The Dutch have fleets of oil recovery barges and sand berm protection floats at the ready. Over 50 days of dithering.

-BP's first attempted fix was to drop a 4 story tall steel & concrete box on the leak. The siphon on the top of the box froze and would not take up the oil. Okay...so??? How bout leaving the damn 4 story concrete box on top of the leaking pipes?

-A 1920 maritime law prevents the US Navy from deploying any assistance to the scene. Obama could wave this relic law of the sea and use the Navy's expertise in deep waters. Obama will not waive the law. Why not? If Ted Kennedy can call in the US Navy to find JFK Jr's downed airplane, how come Obama cannot call in the Navy? What is stopping him?

-Governor Jindal has been begging Obama for supplies to shield his state's beaches. Over 50 days after the request Obama is still dithering.

-Obama declared a State of Emergency for the non-existent threat of Swine Flu. Governor Jindal declared a State of Emergency...how come Obama has not?

These are but a few of the many things Obama could be doing. Instead, he is looking for someone's "ass to kick" and feigning anger.

During the Iraq War, President Bush sent in Red Adair's oil capping company into Kuwait. Red Adair's private company capped 628 sabotaged, booby-trapped, and blown up burning rigs in less than 9 months.

Obama has capped exactly 0 oil wells in almost 2 months.

***EPA and the “National Contingency Plan”
Did any of you know that the US supposedly has a National Contingency Plan for dealing with very large oil spills? And that EPA has legal responsibility for maintaining readiness for such an eventuality? Who knew? I’ve watched hours of coverage and this hasn’t been mentioned anywhere.

The National Oil and Hazardous Substances Contingency Plan Act was signed into law in 1994 (superceding previous legislation that went back to the 1969 Torrey Canyon oil spill.) Laws and regulations are collated here. The EPA has an online book describing the National Continency Plan. See for example http://www.epa.gov/oem/docs/oil/edu/oilspill_book/chap7.pdf (change the number to get other chapters.)
The EPA manual says:

WHEN A MAJOR oil spill occurs in the United States, coordinated teams of local, state, and national personnel are called upon to help contain the spill, clean it up, and ensure that damage to human health and the environment is minimized. Without careful planning and clear organization, efforts to deal with large oil spills could be slow, ineffective, and potentially harmful to response personnel and the environment. In the United States, the system for organizing responses to major oil spills is called the National Response System.

One of the principles of the National Contingency Plan is that an effective and prompt response is a national priority. The chair and vice-chair of the National Response Team are to come from EPA and the Coast Guard. The EPA manual says:

AFTER THE PLAN is developed, it is important to test it to see if it works as anticipated. Testing usually takes the form of an exercise or drill to practice responding to a spill.

Also, in a first reading, the presumption of the legislation is that dealing with major problems is a national interest and the government will take charge. The idea behind the plan is that there will be national readiness to deal with oil spills and that EPA will lead the national readiness. Section 3.1.1 (h) states:

Direct planning and preparedness responsibilities of NRT [national Response team] include: (1) Maintaining national preparedness to respond to a major discharge of oil that is beyond regional capabilities.

MMS, who have borne the brunt of criticism of government activities, play little to no role in the National Contingency Plan – based on my initial reading – and definitely a very minor role relative to EPA. MMS does not appear to be a member of the National Response Team (though 300.175 notes that MMS may have useful information and can be called on through the Dept of Interior representative).

I’ve noticed EPA involvement in worrying about dispersant toxicity, but otherwise EPA seems to have been surprisingly invisible given the prominent role assigned to them in the National Contingency Plan.

I’ve only browsed the legislation and manuals and it’s not an area about which I speak authoritatively. I invite readers to look through the Act, regulations and manuals and comment on the degree to which EPA and other agencies have met their statutory obligations. Please do so in relatively technical terms and avoid the temptation to hyperventilate.

A friend of a friend(thanks, Gid and Carolyn) just sent me the article below from 'American Thinker'. In well spoken language, the article explains that the cause of Obama's failure as an American President is because Obama cannot understand this nation or its people. And the reason he can't understand Americans is because Obama isn't one himself.

What Obama specifically doesn't understand are the three basic beliefs - political, moral and spiritual - which comprise the makeup of an American citizen. The reason he doesn't understand these beliefs is because none of them have ever had a place in his life.

For instance, America's political belief is that of democracy. Obama, however, believes in the enemy of democracy - Marxism and the terrorist credo of Saul Alinsky, etc.

Secondly, America is a deeply moral nation that values human life and adheres to a strict moral code. Obama, however, voted three times to prevent aid to babies who'd survived late term abortions; plus he chose as a political mentor a Weatherman terrorist (Bill Ayers) who complained he didn't get to kill more Americans. As for moral codes are concerned, Obama's earliest role model in Hawaii was a Marxist child molester (Frank Marshall Davis) whose pornographic autobiography ("Sex Rebel Black") bragged of sadomasochism and sleeping with a 13 year old.

Lastly, America is an intensely Christian nation; Obama is not and never was a Christian. He merely practiced the facade of being one by attending church in Chicago. It wasn't, however, because he'd discovered Christ but because he'd discovered political reality - voters in Chicago wouldn't elect someone who wasn't a church-goer. It is telling that the church Obama chose was one whose racist pastor (Rev. Wright) screamed that America invented AIDS in order to kill the black man and that America deserved 9/11 because it was our 'chickens coming home to roost'. It is also telling that Obama's first act directly after being elected President was to abandon church entirely; from that time forward he has not stepped foot inside a church unless forced to for political purposes (attend funerals, give a campaign speech, etc.).

Yes, the article below is quite accurate in pointing out Obama's lack of love for this nation and its beliefs. But the article misses one thing - he isn't the only one. America's news media shares that same hatred. From the publisher (Pinch Sulzberger) of the NY Times who infamously boasted that if an American soldier met a Viet Cong, Pinch hoped the American would die; to Vanity Fair magazine's publishers who've never met a Marxist they didn't love or a Christian they didn't hate; to AP who refuses to print a single story praising American soldiers but will publish the lies of Hamas and the PLO in a heartbeat (even after those Photo-shopped lies are exposed), etc., the American media has almost completely embraced the same hatred of Americans and American beliefs as Obama. It is true Schadenfreude watching the media fail as disastrously as Obama - even more so when it is clear that neither has a clue why this is happening to them. (Apparently what neither Obama and the media have figured out is that when you abandon a country, you also abandon the understanding of it.)

Of course, I could explain it to both of them. But I'll leave that 'explanation' until Nov. 2, 2010. In the meantime, anyone for a cup of tea?

Anatomy of a Failing Presidency
Barack Obama is on track to have the most spectacularly failed presidency since Woodrow Wilson. In the modern era, we've seen several failed presidencies--led by Jimmy Carter and LBJ. Failed presidents have one strong common trait-- they are repudiated, in the vernacular, spat out. Of course, LBJ wisely took the exit ramp early, avoiding a shove into oncoming traffic by his own party. Richard Nixon indeed resigned in disgrace, yet his reputation as a statesman has been partially restored by his triumphant overture to China 20.
But, Barack Obama is failing. Failing big. Failing fast. And failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has lost control of his message, and is overexposed. Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame.
But, there is something more seriously wrong: How could a new president riding in on a wave of unprecedented promise and goodwill have forfeited his tenure and become a lame duck in six months? His poll ratings are in free fall. In generic balloting, the Republicans have now seized a five point advantage. This truly is unbelievable. What's going on?
No narrative. Obama doesn't have a narrative. No, not a narrative about himself. He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly disguised or written by someone else. But this self-narrative is isolated and doesn't connect with us. He doesn't have an American narrative that draws upon the rest of us. All successful presidents have a narrative about the American character that intersects with their own where they display a command of history and reveal an authenticity at the core of their personality that resonates in a positive endearing way with the majority of Americans. We admire those presidents whose narratives not only touch our own, but who seem stronger, wiser, and smarter than we are. Presidents we admire are aspirational peers, even those whose politics don't align exactly with our own: Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Harry Truman, Ike, and Reagan.
But not this president. It's not so much that he's a phony, knows nothing about economics, and is historically illiterate and woefully small minded for the size of the task--all contributory of course. It's that he's not one of us. And whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content, like a cardboard cutout made from delaminated corrugated paper. Moreover, he doesn't command our respect and is unable to appeal to our own common sense. His notions of right and wrong are repugnant and how things work just don't add up. They are not existential. His descriptions of the world we live in don't make sense and don't correspond with our experience.
In the meantime, while we've been struggling to take a measurement of this man, he's dissed just about every one of us--financiers, energy producers, banks, insurance executives, police officers, doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, post office workers, and anybody else who has a non-green job. Expect Obama to lament at his last press conference in 2012: "For those of you I offended, I apologize. For those of you who were not offended, you just didn't give me enough time; if only I'd had a second term, I could have offended you too."
Mercifully, the Founders at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 devised a useful remedy for such a desperate state--staggered terms for both houses of the legislature and the executive. An equally abominable Congress can get voted out next year. With a new Congress, there's always hope of legislative gridlock until we vote for president again two short years after that.
Yes, small presidents do fail, Barack Obama among them. The coyotes howl but the wagon train keeps rolling along.
